I'm just wondering if members are at all excited about potential Octoberfest on HF? Previously we've done Award Goals for posting and some giveaways.

I'm trying to gauge if I should bother this year. Also if anyone has some fun ideas for the upcoming month. I don't know if increased post activity is actually something I want to encourage anymore.

Sounds like your motivation is a fair bit down. It's not going to do damage to HF running this event. I'd say go ahead with it but you will see less people get the award than the years before due to less activity.

I’d like something more than just reaching 200 posts.

Option 1 (for those who don’t have money but still want to contribute and support the forum):

It would be better to encourage the creation of 20–30 threads (outside the Lounge section), each with at least 500 words. For stronger SEO results, ideally these should be 500–800 words. If Stanley could automatically detect whether a thread meets the 500-word requirement, it would create a huge boost in SEO.

Option 2:

You can also set a price, that’s up to you.

I don’t have money right now because of personal issues, but I still really want this. 🙂

There’s already a list of rewards that can be bought… why should we make everything purchasable with money?
