Sui | Unlock the freedom to build powerful assets

Yeah, the sentiment is shared broadly. The Cetus hack back in May killed off a lot of the momentum that Sui was riding. Will be important to rebuild that momentum, however the roadmap for the remainder of the year doesn't hold a lot of excitement. Hoping some new killer apps or partnerships emerge by Nov/Dec of this year.
The transactions are super fast and cheap, and lending/borrowing is virtually instant and so cheap. Unfortunately, a lot of other chains (maybe not with that much of TXs per day) can achieve that and currently do. It all comes down to the marketing of one project. Even if you move mountains, but there's no one to see it... No one will appreciate even the 1cm that you moved.

However, the entire market sentiment is a little bit down. We got the long awaited rate cut, but that didn't really do anything YET.

Have you heard about Ika on Sui?

Yeah, I'm good friends with the Ika team. Impressive tech, very much looking forward to seeing what it unlocks, such as Native (https://www.gonative.cc/). Should be a game changer for BTCfi.

Tell us more about this Ika?

I made an intro post about them here: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?ti...id62576531

I thought I made another post elsewhere about the advantages that it introduces, but struggling to find it.

This is an informative few posts by the Ika team talking about Ika and how they enable Native to be a zero trust solution for BTCfi (scroll up): https://x.com/d3h3d_/status/1885738745896263903

Ika is a project that recently launched on Sui, and the idea is actually pretty interesting. You know how most cross-chain stuff right now relies on bridges and wrapped tokens, which always come with risks? Ika is trying to change that by using multi-party computation, basically advanced cryptography, to let Sui smart contracts directly control assets on other blockchains like Bitcoin or Ethereum. They call these things dWallets(decentralized wallets) and the cool part is that developers can plug them straight into their apps. So instead of needing a bridge to move tokens around, the contract itself can just manage them natively on the other chain. The IKA token is what powers the system, covering things like signing fees, staking, and governance. In short, it’s aiming to make cross-chain transactions safer, faster, and way less messy than what we’re used to with bridges.

An explanation I understood, good job. :)

I've always been bothered by DeFi bridges. I try to stay away from them.

MC plummeted to under 100 M. I was in it but got out during the pump. A lot of shady speculation with price manipulation and with LPs on Cetus.

I’m only in Deep and WAL otherwise

The curse of being a non-Mysten token on Sui.
What a wonderful and juicy dip to $3.14, too bad I don't have free capital to get IN.

Just the tip of the iceberg for announcements this week. The next ~24-48 hours will be big.
