I have a Laptop that I was starting to really like after a few years use but unfortunately today it stopped working.
Now I have sent to for repairs and they quoted me a decent amount.
I just hope they can fix it. I like it very much and I don't want to break my bank so to speak to get another new expensive laptop.
Wish me luck guys. :| Been that sort of day.
How did it stop working ? Might need simple fan replacement

I tried turning on yesterday and it just shut down. Tried since then to turn on but no lights no power. Nothing.
Repair shop said that there might be problem with the motherboard.
Miine did similar was playing COD then it just turned off, never to turn on again >.<
Curious to hear whats the problem with yours. I miss it was a good gaming laptop
If it's the motherboard, you might be better of buying a new one.
Considering how much they are gonna charge you to change the motherboard.
I feel your pain, my friend... I hope your computer is fine and that it’s just a minor issue.

Did you try clearing the static before sending it in?

I would do some troubleshooting with help from AI or youtube
it may be something simple like resetting the cmos battery. maybe also the laptop battery in it just gave up or your powercord isnt working.... i wouldnt do advanced repairs just try some basic troubleshooting and see

I actually want to save up to get a better and latest version (which is more expensive). So I'm thinking that if this should survive me for some months then it'll be great.

When I was certain I could not revive it, I sent it for repairs.

Or a hundred other things. Fans are the only things with movable parts in recent laptops, but they rarely fail.

The main consideration should be how long you anticipate keeping the repaired laptop versus the the lifespan of a new laptop with additional cost.

Could be a power issue or RAM, but the motherboard can fail in a lot of ways.

This is where my expertise and diagnostic tools end. I didn't wanted to send in but that seemed the best choice in that moment.
I expect to get a new machine next year.

Maybe you'll get some money back selling the old one then.
If it can't be repaired then you could always put in on display on a shelf as old memorabilia. No need to throw it away.
I think its time to join the desktop people. I am not one of them but I would like to join someday
