Like Bastille said, it depends on the type of watch and also which components are potentially broken. We would need the model to determine if its a reasonable price.

Some of the older Seikos, especially their chronographs, are actually impressively complex. Popular for vintage collectors. Nonetheless, if it's a vintage piece that price does make sense. Though, as stated, it depends on the watch. I'd do some research and find out what you have and go from there. Maybe see about another quote if there's other shops around.

As much as you are willing to pay to be honest. Generally for me the rule is if a broken election or a luxury item like a watch costs more than 50% of the retail price to buy a new one. Then I won't fix it and save to buy the new model.

But it's up to you. Depending on the damage and/or intricacies to fix the watch and the watch value. $150 might be reasonable.

We have to know what they are fixing. You can't just saying you brought your broken car to a mechanic and they want $4k to fix without giving us more information. And in basically any circumstance with quotes for fixing/repair don't be afraid to shop it around.

Here in Slovenia, on more expensive watches you have free basic repairs, if you broke something then you have to pay a little but it's nothing much, so 150$ for watch repair seems pricy

If its a sentimental piece, $150 seems reasonable for a seiko.
But if the price is a problem id do what jamika said and buy a new one
