Low effort threads = high effort responses?

Does anyone else feel like the bare minimum is being rewarded these days with higher and higher quality? And not just in terms of online forums either, I feel like life in general is becoming this way as well. Thoughts?
Yes. Responding to this is taking a lot of effort, and I don't like it.

Its an unfortunate part of the internet now. No way to avoid it anymore.

Imagine this response is nothing but the poop emoji 704 times. Thoughts conveyed.

Hello slop I am lowkey what is it like to be slop
I think it’s mostly the result of social media and doomscrolling — people can’t focus anymore, they want everything right away, they don’t try to think for themselves.

I’ve made several long and detailed guide/tutorial threads, but they get very few replies compared to the number of views. People don’t even bother responding anymore — they’re leeches.

The spirit and culture of sharing in hacking is slowly dying in a world where everyone is becoming more and more individualistic.
I think the world has become extremely fast-paced so you need to make the lower possible effort to do something so you can quickly move to the next one.

So I'm not sure if "Low effort threads = high effort responses" stands

Shoot. Facebook suggests replies for you so that you don't even have to even attempt to think anymore. Where is that feature here? 🤭

If something takes more effort than a swipe, I feel like most people pass on

Low effort threads = low effort replies.

High effort threads = no responses

I agree with you, but the more important question is how do we fix it?

Aside from message boards, should we end participation trophies and rewarding mediocrity? Methinks this is a cultural/generational issue rather than some localized problem.
