The Monsters - Ed Gein Story

I honestly loved it! It was an interesting plot and the main character of Sons of Anarchy plays Ed Gein.

If you've watched it let me know your thoughts. I'm actually rewatching it right now 🤣🤣

Definitely recommend if you like dark, twisted true-crime stories 😈

I watched the Dahmer series when it first came out. I've been meaning to get around to watching this one. I've heard some mixed reviews on it but definitely want to find some time for it.

I wrote a few threads about this series. In my opinion it was awful. The fact that they lied over and over again throughout the entire series is just a piss poor job. The real story was gruesome enough that they didn't need to fill this series full of lies. Dahmer was great, they only had one thing in that story that I recall being false. Ed Gein they lied all the way throughout and the writer should be ashamed of himself.

I hear you — they really stretched the truth in this one. I was mostly in it for the creepy vibes and the acting, not the accuracy 😅

Even though they exaggerated most of it, it was actually quite interesting to see how his mind worked during this series.

That was what killed it for me, the fact they tried to base it on a true story but filled it with lies. I found myself actually struggling to finish it hoping that the next episode they would have some sort of "here's what really happened". If you want a really good truthful series, check out Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy story. It's on Peacock. They did an outstanding job with this. I hope they continue to create more series.

Thanks for the recommendation..been meaning to watch it since it came out....
We really liked it, interesting to see how things played out

However, please Google the story after watching. Some of the murders were never proven and the show does stray from the full truth at times. They aren't far off the mark because of suspicions, but worth researching afterwards before you make up your mind about Ed.
