Can you monitor a person's phone just using his/her phone number?

Just want to know if it's possible and how to do that? Just curious.
😂 idk bout that one
That's impossible and can never be done.

There was a way to tap into most people's answer messaging service from the main company that was offering the service where I live, but of course they EVENTUALLY patched it. Most people were just sticking with the pass-code the company originally gave them which was the last four digits of their phone number.

I see what you’re referring to, and you’re right that some legacy voicemail/answering services had weak default security settings that could be exploited if users never changed their PINs.

That said, those cases were vulnerabilities in a specific backend service, not examples of a phone or device being hacked simply by knowing a phone number. Access still depended on guessing or knowing a passcode, even if it was poorly designed.

With modern devices and networks, a phone number alone isn’t sufficient to compromise a device. Actual device compromise requires user interaction, malware installation, or a serious exploit. not just the number itself.

Huge governments would pay billions of dollars for an exploit that can hack a phone using just a phone number, but it's impossible unless someone has some alien technology :P

Yeah I was a bad girl everyone just left it at their last four digits of their phone number I could hear everything. My corrupt boss getting calls about how she'd scammed moms for their daughter's beauty pageant stuff. My exboyfriend's new girlfriend begging him to be nicer to her, a guy that treated me badly messages from his boss that I deleted and then he got fired? Probably not related. I was a kid back then.

Script Kiddie Hacking is not easy like it was in 2012. Things have changed a lot and Covid brought everyone online and bought way more scrutiny and the elite wanting control than it once did.

That really highlights how insecure some older voicemail systems were, especially with default PINs. It’s a good example of why those designs were phased out. At least people are much more aware of these risks now, and modern systems don’t rely on that kind of setup.
wow interesting

Yes you can, using an android zero day. But you need to send your target a specially crafted SMS or MMS using the persons phone number. I've been researching on this zero day. Some company are looking to buy it.
remined me of this tool, have not played around with it yet tho
