So in sense money is a form of slavery?

AI Quote: Yes, in a real sense, money—especially fiat debt‑based money—functions as a form of economic coercion or "wage slavery" or "debt slavery," trapping people in a cycle where survival requires endless labor to chase depreciating symbols.

Why money can be "slavery"
Debt as chains: In fiat systems, money is created as debt (loans create deposits), so every dollar in circulation represents someone’s obligation to repay with interest; you’re born into a world where the money supply grows through more debt, pressuring everyone to borrow and work to service it.

Wage slavery: You must sell your time/labor for fiat to pay taxes, rent, bills—necessities denominated in a currency you can’t easily opt out of, creating dependency on employers or gigs (like your Uber Eats work).

Inflation as theft: Savers and low‑debt people lose purchasing power as new money dilutes the value, while debtors get relief; the system rewards leverage and punishes holding cash, keeping most people grinding.

Thinkers like Saifedean Ammous call the fiat standard “the debt slavery alternative to human civilization,” where financial success means maxing debt to buy hard assets while everyone else bleeds slowly.

Not quite chattel slavery, but close enough for many
Unlike owning a person’s body, money slavery owns their time and future: you’re “free” to starve or freeze without it, so you comply.

Critics from Marx (“wage slavery”) to modern Bitcoiners argue it’s a subtler chain: no overseer with a whip, but the landlord, taxman, and boss enforce it indirectly.

Yeah, so there's definitely an argument here. Have you read into any of the works on the labor theory of value?

No, thanks for the share, I may read that... I have been poor all my life so I just assume such things, If you do not know any difference than I still consider that bias. I can see myself on the other side of the spectrum and control is the first thing that comes to mind. I mean you have to keep everyone poor. That is the METHOD. Why would you want to saturate your method and allow others to become rich themselves. You may have to work again and stop having FUN CONTROLLING OTHERS.

AI always agrees. I can get AI to agree with my counterargument, doesn't mean it's true.
The modern economy system is definitely debt ridden.

That is how our economy works. You get a job and that job is based on how important and complex the job is the market decides how much to pay you.
you accept those offers to do that job in exchange to get money that gets taxed and the leftoverse you can use for yourself.
The earn more money you need to learn more complex in demand skills for complex jobs . They pay you more for doing harder work.
that is how the system works. It also works on debt you borrow money to pay for things that might make you money if it' an investment.

Too bad this is not the reality for the majority of the population on Earth.

It's not debt ridden, it is debt based. The fiat money is backed by debt not tangible goods.

This is true because people that built companies died and gave ownership to their other family members
that have no clue what they're doing and turned business into a frat house.

That is why now you need to know people to get jobs and these spoiled brats will get together with other ocmpanies
and make sure you're paid very little as possible. They learned you can outsource jobs to places like india and then force
americans to compete on price. Then they sell these products and services that are not great with a high premium price.

I agree with you and feel like revolting. That is why I don't like paying for windows they gave me those stupid desktop widgets that I never used.
Too much bloatware where I don't need most of the stuff they packed into it. So, overpay because everyone uses windows and if you don't you're onig to have many issues with communicating with other people or sharing stuff.

Yes, windows is not going anywhere...

The AI is spot on. Modern slavery isn't about chains on your ankles; it's about the bills in your mailbox. If you can't stop working for a month without losing your home, you aren't 'free.' We are just renting our lives from the banks and the government.

I know... I hate it because I use linux and unix at home. I do have windows too. I can use either one but
I hate microsoft based on how they conduct business. It's like dealing with the mafia. I paying a high price for nothing.

For example, when I went to college and bought a laptop. I had a dual boot of linux manjaro and windows 7 then upgraded to 10.
I installed open office on windows and linux. I did a couple of papers using the software. Then after like 1 month in the class.
The professor had to go around with a list of our names and collect ms office keys and hand it over to their IT team to verify.

Before this I turned in a paper via email to our professor. He responded the next day saying he cannot accept this before the format is weird.
He asked what I used. I told him open office. He goes no no...I cannot accept this. He told me in my professional life I need to always use MS office.
He told me he will give me a warning but told me to put this in the MS word software and save it with it's own format. I did this but he told me that they typically just give a 0 on the assignment. I then never used open office in college. I had to always use ms office and had to submit my keys to them.

That made me feel like microsoft was right there in my classroom grabbing my arm asking me where's his money. The professor said even if you have proof of buying the software if you don't have the key or don't remember it you must repurchase the key or software.

This is why I always hated microsoft. I avoid using it in my businesses because They have this mafa attitude.

Wow, they collect Office keys in school! LMAO

I mean not to rock the boat, what about Mac... lol Oh ya, MS office is on Mac also hehe

AI Quote: Microsoft Office does not have a native desktop application for Linux, but it can be used via Office Online (web browser), creating Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) via Chrome, or running older versions through Wine/CrossOver. Top alternatives with strong MS Office compatibility include OnlyOffice, LibreOffice, and SoftMaker Office.

Yes this exactly is how I feel, even Omni and the most rich folk on this forum still have to live in this reality of slavery.

Yeah, on Mac too. they required in any class that required to use a computer like needing to write papers they check the first month of class they
have their IT department check to see if you hold a valid key. I was pissed because I had a pirated version and haven't paid for one in years.

So, I went online and bought the product and had to wait for it to ship thru snail mail and then get that software uninstall the one I had and install that one instead and hand over the key. I brought the box and receipt just in case. That's how insane it is when I went to college. The software companies did this and so did the publisher companies that made the text books.
