Curious About RAT's

Hello,

We can say i'm a mid level cyber security student and i'm really curious about RAT's nowadays.

Did a quick search on the internet and found out there are some RAT's even some good anti virus brands can't detect.

I have so much complex questions about these things and i really would like to know more about it.

I used DarkCometRat back in 2021 but never had a real victim other than my own devices...

I'm not trying to steal someones information or trying to yk, peak into someones personal stuff im just curious.

Some of my questions listed;

1. Can someone infect my computer or phone without any downloads or running an exe file?
2. Can someone infect my devices if he/she knows my IP?
3. What if someone creates a script that will autorun and download a Trojan from github or external link when the script is opened?
4. Is there any free RA tools i can test without getting infected?
5. Is it really true that you can hide a Malware inside a photo, mp3, or mp4 formatted file?
6. If malwares can hide from basic Windows Defender wall, how can i hide a malware from a Android Security.
7. Is it easy to make a keylogger that will send daily usage of keyboard to a mail and can i hide it from any anti virus apps?

I would be really happy if there will be no harsh jokes about my questions, just trying to learn.

Thanks

  1. Pegasus and BLASTDOOR. Requires older iPhone.

  2. Hilarious. Firewalls. Security patches. 'Nuff said.

  3. Autorun implies that the OS runs a file automatically without being opened. Stupid? Quite.

  4. Don't know what that is other than astronomical coordinates.

  5. Sure. Easy peesy.

  6. Android Security isn't a thing. There's Play Protect. There have been APK crypters, but Google has been cracking down hard.

  7. Plenty of keyloggers, but finding an email service that will work with it can be a bear.

Ask away.

Before asking, sorry for any mistakes in the sentences since english is not quite my first language...

1. When i was asking about the auto run thingy, I meant a usb stick that will automatically download the malware into the device without any concerns about Windows Fire wall or Android Security walls.

2. I want to try up to date Remote acces tools that can monitor screens, Logs Keys, and Watch Cameras both on Windows and Android. Any Tool names i can try for free?

3. When you said there is nothing such as Android Security what did you ment? Last time i used an android the phone was giving me caution allerts everytime i wanted to try my Malware...

4. Let's say i want to infect someones android and Windows 11 Device (someone close to me, i can pyschially reach to the phone but not to the computer) what way would you advice me to infect their devices (i want to monitor the screen and the cameras)

5. is it true that malwares can monitor your camera silently without waking up the camera activity blinker LED?

1: Can't be done hands free any longer, you used to be able to exploit the AutoRun feature, but Microsoft swiftly realised how dumb it was to trust things.

2: I'd just say look through our marketplace for anything that's free, just note you will want a cryptor or similar to get it onto a victims machine.

3: Yeah, that's Play Protect, Google's Play Services "anti-virus" or your carriers attempt at it, work out which, you will need a cryptor again to get around this.

4: Social Engineer them away from their computer, find a game they like and send a cheat.

5: No. This is a hardware limitation that cannot be bypassed.

Also, no I don't have suggestions for cryptors.

About 4. Question Let's say they are not interested about cheating in games but he/she REALLY REALLY Trusts me, but also he/she also knows that i used to make fake websites to steal personal information so trusting me for downloading a file from me is challenging for he/she. what would you recommend?

edit: and also wth is a cryptor??

5. is it true that malwares can monitor your camera silently without waking up the camera activity blinker LED?

  1. Downloading isn't how AutoRun worked. First thing that you need to do is install Windows Vista.

  2. Overlord is good for Windows. Android support is also present.

  3. Literally that. Android Security is present nowhere.

  4. Be smart and don't. This is a serious felony. When the malware gets discovered and traces to your computer, what are you going to do?

  5. No, not really. When camera LEDs were controlled in software by a driver or something and could be exploited, yes. That's why manufacturers use hardware circuits. When the camera activates, the LED turns on.

MY PERSONAL OPINION:
1. Can someone infect my computer or phone without any downloads or running an exe file?
a: I consider your exe means executable file, answer is NO. Except the malicious code already in the phone or computer hardware before it being made. or the software already installed and this software is a key component to the device and will run automatically. Or someone lure u to run a legalware but with malicious code.
2. Can someone infect my devices if he/she knows my IP?
a: maybe, it depends on your device has vuln or not, and depends if he/she is good enough
3. What if someone creates a script that will autorun and download a Trojan from github or external link when the script is opened?
a: The trojan will infect your device(if it's well crypted)
4. Is there any free RA tools i can test without getting infected?
a: Any RAT tool from github without backdoors
5. Is it really true that you can hide a Malware inside a photo, mp3, or mp4 formatted file?
a: Yes, u can hide one, but if u want to hide it and run automatically when the photo/mp3/mp4 file runs, u need an exploit for software which run it.
6. If malwares can hide from basic Windows Defender wall, how can i hide a malware from a Android Security.
a: idk
7. Is it easy to make a keylogger that will send daily usage of keyboard to a mail and can i hide it from any anti virus apps?
a: 1. it depends on your skill level, but keylogger is easy to code relatively, besides u need to know SMTP protocol and network programming 2. yes, if u are good enough

Yep, your RAT will be immediately detected, and this person who somewhat trusts you will not trust you again.
