We are officially a third of the way through October. Omni is deep in the PHP error logs wrestling legacy scripts, and the official Octoberfest thread hasn't landed yet. It may never land, but in spirit we can still try to participate like the years before.

Whether he officially drops the announcement soon or is holding off while server bugs get ironed out that shouldn’t stop us from getting our posts, threads, and activity up. It's become a tradition for many of us..

Historically, securing that pumpkin award means putting in the grind across the board:
• Making quality threads
• Keeping the boards active with legitimate posts
• Bringing genuine value and discussions back to the sections

Consider this the community warmup and prep hub. Use this thread to share what you're working on, track your own posting milestones for the month, and keep the activity flowing while backend stability gets sorted out.

What are your goals for this month? I'd like to hit 10K posts, but unlikely I do it this month. I can strive to get 10K posts by the end of the year. It doesn't help much when posts get purged too. 💀

It would certainly be tough and not just because of the time you'd have to invest to do it, but also because you'd need enough activity from others that you could work off of for your posts. Not all activity is going to be what you'd want to and or be able to reply to either. If you're trying to refrain from short and or LQ leaning posts, that will of course make it tougher for both of the above mentioned things too.

Honestly even just getting it by the end of the year would be commendable. Rocking out a couple thousand posts is no small feat and especially nowadays. Even more for whatever amount you have left to do after Octoberfest which like you mentioned does definitely bring some increased activity to make things easier during that time. Looking forward to seeing you hit that fat milestone whenever you do. Best of luck as well.

Regarding your thread, I tried to post as much as possible, but I kept my thread ideas for the event. I have a note on my phone with all the ideas I have in my mind because I try as much as possible to avoid LQ threads, and I remember in 2024 that I struggled a lot to reach 30 HQ threads, that's why I didn't post threads yet.

Let's see how it's going ! Probably something like 20 threads and 350 posts, what are your predictions guys ?
