Octoberfest has multiple aspects of appeal such as the increased activity it brings, some members getting involved that were maybe away for a while or simply never post, the pumpkin award, and more. I'm curious to know what of those or other things you like the most about the event and if you're someone that participates, what is the main motivator for that?

My favorite part about the event is definitely seeing the increased amount of activity on the forum. Part of that is certainly just nostalgia as it reminds me a bit of "the old days" as people like to say and when activity was higher all of the time. Another part of it though is simply being happy to see that a greater amount of activity than we're used to on here nowadays can in fact still be achieved. Sure, it may be on the back of an event and incentives from such. It may also only be temporary while those things are occurring. The point still stands though. In some way and for some time, it's still possible. As for why I participate in the event, I wont lie, it's mainly for the new pumpkin award each time. However, that obviously isn't to say I don't also thoroughly enjoy interacting with other members during the event, coming up with threads to post, and seeing all of the members both new and old that choose to participate whatever amount.

Fair enough lol. Haven't asked you in a good while how SB has been treating you this year. You in some decent profit? I've seen you do a handful of deals with Au Jus for bytes so I assume you must be doing alright.

Right there with you as I mentioned on the thread. For all of us that love this place as much as we do, one of the best things we can see is activity overflowing compared to the usual and with way more people than usual being a part of that activity. It's a great sight to behold.

So essentially the increased activity? That seems to be the case for most people, but that makes sense. It's nice seeing the additional activity around here as well as more specifically having a larger variety of threads and members to interact with.
