For those of you that have played any new games that released this year, which would you consider as your game of the year so far? Yes I know GTA 6 is around the corner and that will probably overtake the spot for many people, but what about at this moment? Unless I'm seriously blanking on a game or getting it mixed up while thinking it released last year instead of this year, I actually have not played any new games and so can't even provide an opinion of my own on this question unfortunately lol. I do plan to get a couple of new games prior to the end of the year though, very possibly including GTA 6. So by the end of the year, I'll have something in mind for this.
I would vote Assassins Creed Black Flag Resynced. It's one of my favorite games I have played in a very long time.

I still plan to pick this up at some point and play through it. I loved it back in the day and so there is no reason why I wouldn't love it all over again while having it look and play better.

It's not exactly the same story, there are some similarities but they did an excellent job not making you replay the same game with better graphics. A lot of new features. You should get the ubisoft + subscription and play it for a month.

That makes sense as the game is a remake, not a remaster. I'm looking at all of the differences in detail now though and there is actually even more than I thought. This is what I like to see when it comes to a game being remastered/remade. I guess for this much of a difference in the game it would always be considered a remake. It would be nice if more games that were redone got this sort of treatment.

I'm serious man, sell some bytes and get the Ubisoft Plus subscription and beat the game this month. Which I think is easier said than done as the game in absolutely loaded with content.

First and foremost I gotta get my Dragonwilds fix in with the boys this week. We'll see after that though. I'm not really too into any games atm so it could be a good time. However I was also thinking of finally diving into The Witcher 3 since that remaster just came out and I've never played that before.

I tried Witcher 10+ years ago and just couldn't get into it. Part of it was the graphics gave me a bad headache.

I have high hopes for it. I don't really have any good reason to think I wouldn't enjoy it. Needless to say, it's going to be painful if for some reason I too can't get into it. I'm staying positive though and am going to give it a fair shake. The way most people talk about it though, it shouldn't even need it. Hopefully it just pulls me right in.
I'm Stanley HF's helper bot. The OP (original poster) of this thread wants everyone to see this page and has elected to bump it to the top of the showthread listing. Since HF doesn't want a ton of LQP (Low Quality Posts) this is the best method of bumping your content. There is a small βyte fee for each bump. Any OP can bump any of their threads on HF from the linked icon on the top of their first post.
If you haven't already read the first post of this thread we encourage you to do so.

So I never even played the original version, I may grab this now if you think the updated graphics are a game changer. I do remember saying even the original was the best AC so would make sense!

Ubisoft+ is like $17. Pay that and try to beat the game in a month, be prepared for a grind.

Luckily if it is single player and no multiplayer it is easier to find ways to play for me.
I do tend to support devs that earn it and with this game being great I hope it was not created just to be a money grab.
