We're now 7 months deep into 2026 and during that time we've already had a lot of new game releases. While we of course still have another 5 months ahead of us and that may very well include what ends up being your favorite game release of the entire year (GTA 6 for a lot of people probably), what game that has already released this year is your current favorite? If you haven't purchased any games that came out this year then feel free to mention a game you're enjoying most which came out prior to 2026, but that you only just got this year. If you haven't purchased any games at all this year then feel free to simply mention what game you've been enjoying the most so far in 2026.

I personally haven't actually purchased any 2026 released games so far this year unless I'm somehow completely blanking on one. If so though then I guess it wouldn't be one I'd say is what I'm enjoying most anyway unless it was by default due to purchasing no other new games so far this year lol. I did buy the new Diablo 4 expansion that released earlier this year, but that of course isn't an entirely new game. Nonetheless I did spend a lot of time playing it as well as thoroughly enjoyed it. I also finally hopped back on RuneScape Dragonwilds with some friends (we haven't played since a week after launch over a year ago) because there were 3 expansions that released since then that we got to catch up on. That was a ton of fun too. So yeah, no new to 2026 full game purchases for me so far, but that will change in the coming months. I expect to pick up a couple of new games that already released or will be releasing this year.

I have to honestly say the game i i enjoyed the most for 2026 was RE9. However the personal nostalgic vibe of Halo in the last couple days was fucking awesome.

A game that released this year and which I enjoyed the most was subnautica 2, I finished the e.a. in the first 2 days and spent the next week building my mega base and bug testing the game. Even got a shoutout by the devs for my bug reports :)
I still have to play the new updates tho.

A Game I acquired this year which I LOVE would be company of heros 2, I bought it just recently and I gotta admit it feels really nice, the AI is much better than CoH 1 and its not as horrible as CoH 3, best of both worlds :D

I believe Meccha Chameleon came out this year and my friends and I have been playing it a lot. It's sad to see that there has been people that infected the maps via Steam workshop tho :/ It makes us not play it in the slightest, even though the devs have fixed it.

Of those I played, 007 first agent.
