I have always wondered if people become more authentic after a few drinks.
Sometimes those moments tell you a lot about a person, but I am curious whether you think they reveal the truth or just a temporary version of it.
Well, for some people yes but for some no so I don't think there's a straight yes or no answer for this question…
Yes and no. Alcohol doesn't necessarily make people more authentic. Instead it lowers social inhibitions and impairs brain regions responsible for judgement and self control, which changes how they express themselves.
In my business, we typically take clients out for dinner and drinks. This often leads to desired outcomes.

I wouldn't say that. It's actually pretty common to establish working relationships over drinks or dinner. This is how connections work and are built.

haha yeah, I get it, maybe we shouldn't ask a lot of questions xD
In vino veritas is a classical Latin phrase that translates to "in wine, there is truth". But I think it's sad that human adults feel they must have alcohol to be themselves or tell the truth about themselves instead of being boring, shallow idiots.
Yea I think they're definitely more authentic after a few drinks. It's called truth serum for a reason.
I agree, they usually show themselves after a few drinks

I think alcohol removes the filter, but it doesn't necessarily reveal the true person. It just amplifies whatever is already there.
