/Dev/Null:Ports Game By Omniscient

After previously pulling the plug on the game due to an overwhelming number of bugs, Omniscient is considering bringing the project back from the dead. With modern AI coding tools capable of tackling the issues and getting the system fully operational in an estimated 1 to 2 days, the question comes down to if community interest justifies the effort. Is a revival worth the dev time or should it remain retired? Share your thoughts and feedback in the original thread.

Tesla unveiled its next-generation Roadster

Tesla unveiled its next generation roadster this week with rocket style thrusters similar to ones used by spaceX. The demonstration showed the Roadster using high pressure gas thrusters to launch, flip in mid-air and land. This is a real engineering demonstration, but it doesn't establish that the vehicle is ready for ordinary flying-car use.

RAM and SSD prices are still under pressure

The latest market forecasts point to conventional DRAM contract prices rising 10–15% and NAND flash prices 15–20% in Q4 2026. AI data centres are competing for memory and storage capacity, leaving less room for cheaper consumer components.

RAM and SSD prices are still under pressure

Chips and AI related stocks bounced on 19 October after a difficult week. Investors are increasingly concerned about whether enormous AI infrastructure investments will generate enough profit to justify their costs.

This weeks Movie Of The Week:
Buddy 2026

Trailer:

This movie was submitted on our Submision thread [HF News] Movie Of The Week Submissions

This week's submission is thanks to Charlie Sheen

This week's movie of the week of the week might not be for everyone as it has a trait to be a little scary, but as it's the spooky time of year, we saw this being posted and knew we had to share it this week.

The movie is based on a little girl who is with her friends, but they are trapped inside a kids TV show and must find a way to escape. It itself was rated a strong seven out of ten by Charlie for it being an original concept compared to some of the newer releases we have seen this year. You can also check out what others think about it in Charlie's thread. Buddy 2026 Let us know if you are thinking of checking this one out or if you think it might be a little bit to scary for you in the replies below.

Thank you for the news update. Not as exciting as the previous #, but far spookier.

Thank you for the news update. Not as exciting as the previous #, but far spookier.

Edition 71 I heard might be to scary to be honest, I heard I might have to put a few warnings for those who get scared easily. I saw a few ghosts saying who might get haunted on there. I even saw jigsaw cutting people up. I might have to cut some of it out as the main editor of these editions. 🤡

[Charlie Sheen]

Another great edition. I like the logo this week. On the topic of RAM and SSD prices it's absolutely nuts. I can't believe how much prices have continued to skyrocket.

[Terry A. Davis]

Now, I know I could look but I can't read.
Did I miss edition 69?

[RySec]

Thanks for your service in writing the news.

[Pimping]

Good to see HF news still going strong!
keep up the good work guys

[Bastille]

Haha I like the new image adjusted for Halloween :p

Under "Tech" are two times the following by the way : RAM and SSD prices are still under pressure

Thanks for this new edition ! I'll wear the orange signature by the way, to match the Halloween vibe and support the News :)

Can you share me the thread where we can apply ? I would like to apply for the SecOps category if possible

Thanks to all contributors of HF News !
