The Ex-Admin Hanzo, has returned as an Admin. Veterans of HF know whom Hanzo is, but for new joiners, Hanzo is a real life friend of Omniscient, and was an admin a few years ago. Upon his return, it appears many veterans of HF believe Hackforums.net will change for the better. Time will tell, either way, welcome back Hanzo Keep in mind everyone Hanzo is in charge of Rep Abuse, so be sure to PM Hanzo regarding reputation abuse and not Crow or Omniscient.
Staff section, Junk section, and all private groups threads were visible to everyone on HackForums. To the people who were on for those lucky 20 minutes, got the chance to view staff section and what they "Gossip" about. As Crow states, the event that happend is like "Santa leaving his bag at somebody's house" As for staff and Omniscient, they have felt upset that the section was viewable to everyone. Click here to view thread.
On behalf of HackForums, we would like to give a warm congratulations on the HackForum's community for achieving to hit the 8 MILLION mark on the post statistics. If it was not for the great success Omniscient has done to this site, we would not have been able to come this far.
The new Official HackForums Group, The Red Lions, has seen its first accepted applications in the past week. Currently, we have maxed out on the wanted number of members for the new High Quality group. Here are the words of Red Lions leader Tєchnology on the matter.

so every week inactive members will get kicked and new applicants will be given a chance....so you can apply via user cp , including link to your app.
The recruitment thread is still open and you can locate it here.
So, if you are still itching to join the new group, just wait, you may get accepted in the coming weeks!

Staff member Skill has recently re-opened the Reviewers' recruitment thread. While recruitment has re-started, only ub3r members may apply. You can read more about it here: Apply to the Reviewers. We wish Skill the best of luck, as he is entrusted with selecting the members that will make the HF Marketplace even better.
Nowaythen has been trolled successfully trolled by what we called "HackForum's first Successful Troll" When I quote "HackForums" I do mean that many people were all helping each other in trolling this user to believe that the FBI will be knocking down his door, due to the fact that he clicked the "'Credit Card, Paypal, Identity, and Bank" section that led him to the Fbi.gov official website. He seemed to be really scared so his first response was to make a thread in the lounge asking what would happen.Click here to read more
Binahu has opened a scam report againt WIZCRAFT, the maintainer and seller of Maniac Booter. While he does not have much proof, he does have the back-up of many members who claimed to have been scammed as well. You can keep track of how the scam report develops by going here: Scam Report
Smokin3000 has just released the latest version of Mange, his IRC bot, to the HF marketplace. It's rare to see a program coded in Delphi being sold in the HF Marketplace, a most programs sold there are coded in Visual Basic. If you would like to buy a copy, wish him luck with sales, or just view the sales thread, go here: Mange IRC Bot
crusher2003 has been permanently banned for selling free ebooks. Skill , the staff member that banned him, proclaimed that he had already been issued several warnings. We would like to congratulate him for dealing with the issue rapidly. You can read more about it here: Regarding crusher2003

It was brought up in discussion during the week as to whether it was arrogant to have the suggestion section closed, disallowing members from contributing their ideas to Hackforums.net. The topic was raised by Dr.HoboZombie, and had replies from members, staff and Omniscient himself. As to not take sides, it's best you read the thread yourself, Click here to view Thread.
The member Killm3, here at Hackforums.net has apparently managed to find an exploit in Youtube which allows videos to be posted without logging in. As of yet, he hasn't shed light on to this exploit, as he's hoping to get praise from Youtube/Google to be put towards his College application. The exploit thread can be found here.
The staff member Saged has temporarily banned all conspiracy threads from being made in the SRRP section. It is questionable as to how long it will last this time, as previous bans like this haven't lasted. The thread with more about the ban can be found here, Saged thread regarding conspiracy threads

Welcome to HF’s White Hat part of HF News. I am Disruption and I will be writing this part of the news.
This area is to discuss information that occurs in the White Hat Help area and the HJT area. Now lets begin with some events’ that have occurred that brought our attention.
I would like to welcome back tsgh mike to the White Hat Help area. He has been doing a lot and assisting other members that work in that area as well. We wish him the best of luck and hope he continues what he is doing.
We would also like to also thank Infallible, Cobija, Paradoxum and Tha Sneak for taking many logs. Without them at this time, the HJT area may have been a mess.
Infallible has brought back "Tip of The Week" for the HJT Area. With this being brought back, it has helped helpers' and trainees' in live logs' and in practice logs'. Thank you Infallible for bringing back "Tip of The Week". You can view his recent tip HERE.
Cocopara has informed us that a tool known by the name of "Unhack Me" has been tested and he concluded that the tool very difficult and annoying to use. According to Cocopara , this tool has detected viruses that it said it had "removed" in an earlier scan. This could mean that "Unhack Me" is unreliable for security purposes. You can find this thread HERE.
Cobija has released an excellent tutorial describing a command prompt known as Netstat. Netstat commands allow a user to identify connections to the internet. With proper help, a user can identify a rat with this command prompt. If you would like to see the tutorial and learn how to use it, you can find it HERE.
We would like to welcome back Dragon Hawk. He has been accepted once again to be apart of the HJT Team. He shall be starting Practice Log 1B. We wish him the best of luck in completing his training.
For those of you who would like a chance to be apart of the HJT Team, please view THIS thread.
