[Preview] NotepadX v3.5 [SUPER Advanced VB.NET RTF Editor]

Okay, so I've been working on a project for a while now, called NotepadX.

It's a very functional .NET based RTF editor written in VB.NET. You can see & get sources for older versions:
Version 3.0
Version 2.0

The next version has the following new features:
-Ability to right click a word & get synonyms & definitions offline.
-Ability to right click a word & get larger list of synonyms & better definitions & web results online
-Line numbering (a bit like Notepad++)
-Numbered list (as well as bulleted list)
-More right click functionality
-Send Feedback to developer
-Added word & line count with advanced counting, such as spaces, etc.
-Enhanced the "Change case" button. New options include "Sentence Case" and "Capitalize first letter of each word".

Bug Fixes:
-The "Word Art" feature now works properly... and if it doesn't work after about 10 seconds, there's a button to force it to work (hopefully).
-Formatting is now no longer sometimes reset when selecting multiple formats
-Fixed lots of possible unhanded exceptions

Screens:
Online synonyms, definitions, etc.

(o shit that button1 shouldn't be there forgot to remove it :D)

Offline synonyms & Word count (bottom left)

Coming tomorrow

Source: Coming whenever I've tidied it up enough that I feel that it's not embarrassing :P

What do you guys think of it? Please leave feedback!
Looks very, very, very nice. All ways good for my eyes to see such good projects.
I would say this is a lot more helpful for essays and such in school then Microsoft Word is or OpenOffice, but that's my point of view.
I really like that synonym function. Nice work
I don't see how this is "Super Advanced", but I like the GUI, and the other aspects. Sure I'll call it an "advanced" project, if your a beginner... but from the looks of it, your not. :)
This looks amazing, I really like the synonym and definition feature.
If you add spell check to this, I would be switching word processors.
Synonym function is good for C&P reports then just change lol
Move the bottom status label up a little, other than that it looks alright, although I can't stand dotnetbar.

If you look at V3.0, it.s got spell check already... Thanks for the comments guys.

Feature list for 3.0
-Text alignment, bold, underlined, italic, indent, bulleted list, subscript, superscript, fonts & font previews, different sized text, indents, spellcheck.
-Tabbed editing
-Zoom
-Markup for VB & C#.
-Get source of webpage & load it to textbox
-Insert images
-Insert symbols (over 2000 of them, all typed up by me. Took ages :D)
-Find dialog/w regex
-Replace dialog
-Clip art (pulls results from bing & puts them in a control. No webbrowsers involved, uses bing's API)
-Word Art (insert your own custom text grahpics, which the program will automatically generate for you (uses an online renderer))
-All the usual stuff like undo, save, open, etc.
-Some other small little features to improve accessibility
-Recent documents
-Topmost/not topmost
-Nice icons

I call it super advanced because it's rather rare that anyone has a notepad-style project with as many features as this written in VB. With the exception of Amrykid and Notepad.NET which is awesome.
Odd, when I ctrl+F'd for Spell check, it didn't come up. DAMN YOU FIREFOX!
Loving that Synonym function buddy.
Looks amazing dude, keep up the good work.
Few questions/suggestions here..
  • Dependencies - 2.0/3.5/4.0?

  • File Size - Normal and Compressed size?

  • GUI - Does it leave nice GUI when used in earlier OS like WinXP SP3 or anything earlier?.

  • Suggestion : How about making a 'Font Preview' thingy like we see normally?

is it tabbed? That really is a selling feature of any notepad. Syntax highlighting? GoTo line?

As i said before really do like your work but not dotnetbar
