I and a friend of mine have just started coding an operating system in C# using Cosmos. We are starting so it uses very easy commands... We're looking to add mouse support, GUI, menus, etc...
Command List
help - shows command list clear / quit - clears console / quits to "desktop" (this are together because when you are in "info" or "help" you can use "quit" or "clear" to come back to main monitor) text - loads a text editor games - load a list of games
Quiz
Guess the Number (we're with a little problem with this game. PM me for details if you think you can fix it...)
We need more games... If you have any suggestion leave a comment below;
beep - makes a beep (can't hear in the video) shutdown - shuts the OS down reboot - reboots the OS info - shows info about the OS and creator
Adding Very Soon
Display time and date;
Format Drives trough HFOS (not sure if possible);
Get more games;
Add a GUI "Part" to the OS;
Add mouse support;
Internet Access (might be too much for cosmos. we'll probably go with asm or something 🤣)
I am very interested in this and I have some questions...
1. Is this an actual OS? Or a VOS?
2. What is Cosmos?
3. Is it available for VB.NET.
4. If it is a real OS, will it work on most computers?
5. Can it have more than console commands (GUI and such?)

Thanks in advance.
1. Actual OS! Not VOS.
2. Cosmos is an evolving, open source, .NET-based operating system development tool. The acronym stands for "C# Open Source Managed Operating System."
3. Yes. Never tested it thought.
4. It works in all computers since you can make .ISO and boot from it or just burn it in a pendrive and boot from it.
5. It may have GUI and such but it's very hard. Look at some GUI os'es on youtube and you'll see what I'm talking about...

Thanks. There's no success if we don't try. 🤝
Thanks for the info man. I found their website and I'm looking into it now. This could be fun.

I used Cosmos... 😎

and its fine ... why make another one ?
I don't intend to use that as my operating system. I'm doing it for knowledge. 🤝
