Hello, sorry that this is about a sticky, but i would at least appreciate some one being aware of the issue

Now i know that the WiFi section is one of the smaller and less frequented sections on the forums, but it is in dire need of a sticky. The reasons are simple, the feild is not constantly changing and there is little new content, and that means that the same few questions are being asked every day. My favourite being 'Is there a program that can hack WiFi?'

^ These are all taken from the first page, and they are all 'retarded' threads. This:

A) demonstrates how new users are incapable of using the search button
B) Highlights the need for a sticky

95% of the legitimate questions asked are:

Backtrack 4 doesn't work, help me please? - No go to BT forums/Linux section
Is my wireless card capable of packet injection? - Go look on aircrack-ng site of compatible drivers
How can i hack WEP? - Look at one of the many here: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=914382 (There have been more made since i made that thread)
How can i hack WPA? - Look at the tutorials and realise how commited you need to be to hack a WPA network...
How can i get free WiFi?- GTFO...
Can i hack WiFi on my iPhone? - No! You need a compatible wireless card + Some software to be developed for it! Did you not think of maybe reading one of the many tutorials; just to see what was involved... Or maybe even try googling it? Or even searching the forums for the 100 other threads asking the same question?

i joke not, we get asked these questions every day. And it could all be solved if we just had a thread stickied. A thread that could be used is Zorj's index of WiFi tutorials, it would need a couple of modifications if it were to be stickied, just a FAQ at the top would do.

I say this because i am on the WiFi section everyday, and have been for the last few months, and it is very very soul destroying seeing the same shit everyday...

So please comment if you think i am a mad man, or even better comment if you support the need for a sticky in the WiFi section.

I agree whole heartedly. The Wifi section has become over run with the usual WEP/WPA questions that could easily be put into a single stickied section. Although not been on the site for very long i try and help when ever possible, but looking at the same questions over and over kind of puts a downer on it.

I agree too , just like search button is invisible , it's funny that some of them don't even look on www about WLAN hacking , they just come without any knowledge and ask.

this issue needs to be looked at.

hack forums wifi section is in serious need of moderation.
i recommend this thread is reviewed by a staff member.

id like to also suggest a wifi mod.
we need someone to give some order to the wifi section, as it can not grow intellectually.
we get the same responses and questions every day. if we could have some order, the wifi section has great potential.

Yes true, i made this thread before I was aware of that phone, but the point still stands that when someone asks 'can i hack wifi on my phone' the only answer is 'Yeah, so long as you have an N900', so why can't we have that and all the other basic questions + answers stickied?

It's beyond me why there isn't a sticky in the wifi section.

The amount of repeated idiotic questions that get asked is ridiculous.

If it wasn't for the likes of middle and company that section would be chaotic.

I for one back your idea mate. There should definitely be a sticky FAQ and links to the best of the tutorials at the head of that section.

To the board owners you need to sit up and take notice, it would be a shame to lose some of your top contributing members by simply ignoring a request that benefits the community.

this has become my favourite site now and even though im a newby i come here every day because there is such a wealth of information and i want it all ^_^
even though i bookmarked my favourite threads (and they are mostly by middle) its great for people who are learning
or just in for an interesting read to be able to see the most relevant and important topics (and most often what they are searching
for stickied and noob friendly

Agreed... I have been coming in here a lot lately, and learned a lot. I would like to help out others user as well, but already I see a lot of the same and the same questions coming up again and again. A sticky would be appreciated.

Yes the WiFi section need more atention and to be better moderated.
