I ended making a userscript tutorial earlier ( https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=2034312 ) and now I am following up with a simple MyBB plugin tutorial. I try to assume that you know something about PHP, but I still explain as much as possible. This tutorial is split into two ~14 minute segments.

Awesome job! I think you should start from the very basic things first for the newbies into coding.
Like a plugin for hello world? Then move on to higher levels of mods. Just my opinion.

I suggested not a Hello World plugin as they already have an example when you install MyBB.

MyBB comes with a Hello World plugin that is horrible IMO for beginners.

However, I hear that a new plugin will come in the new releases (maybe...) of MyBB for beginners to learn from. It will include more database methods, template editing, template adding, etc
