Secret Converter - Hide your files

I would like to present you my new program:

Secret Converter

What it does:
It makes the files of a chosen folder unaccessible. So it's possible to hide these files without having to use the "hide file" - option in Windows.

How it works:
Ok, here a quick tut:

Create a new folder. Name it how you wish. In my example, i will name it "secretf".

Start the "SecretCoverter.exe". The following window will appear:

Click on "Choose Secret Folder" and select the folder you created previously ("secretf").
When a folder is selected, the path will be shown under the button.
Now choose an item in the list you want your folder "to look like". For my example, I chose "Control Panel".
Finally, click on "Convert".
Now your folder will look like a shortcut to the Control Panel. If you try to open the folder, you get "redirected" to the Control Panel in Windows.

But your files are save. Just go back to the SecretConverter and click the first button. Choose the secret folder you can't access now.
Choose the last item of the list, "Normalize". Now click convert, and your folder will be normal again.

Here a view of the changes:

Virustotal:
VT distributes the samples, so I would be an idiot to scan it there if it was a trojan or backdoored. This should be a proof to everybody.

Please let me know what you think about it and post bugs if you find any.
Hey Dbof, nice to see your program! I like it alot.

But when you hide your folder it gets this name "name.{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}"
Is there any way to hide {numbers}? I tried to, but then the folder went back to it's normal state ofcourse, hehe.
What OS are you using? I tested it with XP and Vista, and there were no numbers to see...
WOW! Very Nice. Thank you for sharing.
Hmm, that's strange. Maybe it's because I've enabled to see SuperHiddenFiles, and these {numbers} include in those? Perhaps SuperHiddenFiles and View system files isn't the same after all? Hehe I might be wrong.

I'm also using Windows XP. (Professional with SP3)
@ Zas Zero
I don't think those numbers can be removed. These are CLSID (class id ) of special folders in window like, {21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309d} for control panel.
The same secrecy can also be obtained by a simple batch file (not made by me)

cls
@ECHO OFF
title Folder Locker
if EXIST "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" goto UNLOCK
if NOT EXIST Locker goto MDLOCKER
:CONFIRM
echo C:\
set/p "cho=>"
if %cho%==y goto LOCK
if %cho%==N goto END
echo Invalid choice.
goto CONFIRM
:LOCK
ren Locker "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
attrib +h +s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
echo Folder locked
goto End
:UNLOCK
echo C:\
set/p "pass=>"
if NOT %pass%==passwordhere goto FAIL
attrib -h -s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
ren "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" Locker
echo Folder Unlocked successfully
goto End
:FAIL
echo Invalid password
goto end
:MDLOCKER
md Locker
echo Locker created successfully
goto End
:End

this will create a directory in the same folder where you can keep your files and again you can lock it by clicking the batch file.
You can change the folder to other window folders like inbox,recycle bin.Just change the CLSID value.

Right, but Windows doesn't show them by default.

Tried with another type to convert to? Tried to disable SuperHiddenFiles?

I edited the first post and put an image of the changes...
Hi the_shadows. Hmm, I see. AH! Lightbaulb over my head I think I know why I see the numbers.
I've disabled "Hide unknown file extensions", so I always see what kinda file it is.
I'll try with that enabled (It's enabled as standard). brb

No. That wasn't it. The {numbers} still show. I'm clueless then.

That's a cool batch code btw, but I guess I'd stick with Dbof's program because it got a list over all possible CLSID values. Thanks for sharing it though :)
Cool program

too short

Yea I tried other types too, the numbers still appeared.
I'll try to disable ShowSuperHidden and edit this post in 5 mins. (Need to restart computer for it)

EDIT: Yeah, it works now. So apparantly ShowSuperHidden (or "View system files" in folder options) can see the {numbers}. Too bad :/ But hey, as I mentioned in my thread, most people don't use that so I guess we're good :)
@ Zas Zero
It seems that you have unchecked the "Hide protected operating system files".

And btw you can get all CLSID just google it.

Yea the_shadows, it works after I turned it off. (Just wrote in my last post hehe) Thanks for your help anyway 😁
