And with my return to activity on this forum, I hereby also revive this nifty little thread. Also: I've finally gotten myself a CG artist... and she's doing the H-scenes too...

Before I start rambling on about my Visual Novel:
Alright, So all the non-newbies on AA will know that it has now officialy been (update): one and a half year or so since I got on AA, What some of them -Probably not all- will know is that I've also been working on a Visual Novel for that same amount of time.

There were loads of dissapointments in the way, for example: a friend of mine who was to be the lead CG artist, died due to a fatal heart failure.

There was loads of stuff involved in my visual novel, I remember tearing all pages out of my noteblocks, and starting all over again, for around (Another update as of 2-7-13): 11 times.

I remember that back then, the original Genre I was aiming for was Drama/Romance/Tragedy.
However, things slowely started to change as I started becoming closer and closer to the story I was aiming for.

Genre: Drama/Fantasy/Romance/Tragedy/Psychological

Basic Description of the visual novel:
(UPDATE AS OF 2-7-13, Entire story has been wiped and started off a new. That means that I've wasted up untill... 826 pages so far.)

I take a glance at my empty room.
This will be the last time I see it...
Now that it’s empty its kind off hard to imagine I spend so much time in here.
I look around my room, and my sight stops on an empty wall, the place where my old sword used to hang.
H “I guess this is the last time then...”
I take my bag, and leave the room.
Before I go downstairs, I find myself staring at the door of what used to be the bedroom of my little sister.
I sigh when I quickly think about all the great times I had in there, all the times I used to tease her, or about how we slept together when we were both kids...
Those times have come to an end a long while ago.

I go downstairs and enter the living room, I can still remember her laying on the couch and talking with me, or phoning with her friends the whole day.
I look at the clock, it’s a little past 2 in the morning.
I walk back to the hallway and I put my coat on.
I stop moving for a moment and listen if I can hear my parents, but no, they are asleep; the only thing I can hear is my own breath...
Which is good, judging on the fact that I dont want any more unnecisarry conversations with them while im here.
After opening the front door, I look back inside for the last time; and then, I leave into the immortal blackness of the night.
If you do not want to read it, let me describe the visual novel's setting:
Takumi Hayashi, (hayashi= last name) goes back to the town he has once lived in as a kid. His little sister has been murdered, and his moving back is -for him- a way of escaping from all the problems. He is going to stay in the property of a childhood friend's mother, who happens to be a landlord. His childhood friend is named Fuuka. But then, Takumi meets a strange but yet interesting girl named Amaya, who's interested in the occult. He also meets a mysterious priest within an abandoned church. But just around the corner conflicts are getting closer...

Status:
OST: 80% Done
Coding: Chapter 0, 1, 2 done. 8 to go.
CG: 0%, this is the main problem.
Story: 25% done, Yes, there is still a hell lot to do, but there's enough already to make a demo version.
First route = 100% Done, gotta digitalize it though.

Note: I have no backgrounds yet, If anyone is willing to draw them... PM please...

Anyway, Thanks in advance, and with this I'll note that I shall keep/see this thread as the official thread for my visual novel.

UPDATE 6/27/12: Released some OST

UPDATE 08/10/12: Busy on it a lot, after what seemed to be a bit of a writer's block, Still gotta digitalize a lot, First route = 100% written

UPDATE 02/07/13: Changed a lot of stuff, other story. etc. etc. few new OST, finally have a CG artist willing to draw H-scenes.

Although I'm no CG artist, I'm happy to help with the story or even beta testing. ^_^

I've been wanting to right my own screenplay over the summer, so it'd be neat to see what you have. I can't do much else though. Good look, Dice. :3

There, A few OST have been released, though its not all of them, and a few will remain unused as i've got others; but it gives a good view of the story.

Anyway I probably can't help much, but I recommend also trying to recruit people from 4chan. Might get trolled a lot because there's a lot of asshats, but the developers from Katawa shoujo used 4chan as a place to discuss creation ideas of the game as well as recruit people. You could probably find quite a bit of help there.

Ok Bumping this thread for great justice and to Revive it, Status Update: Route 1/4 = 100% Written, Still gotta digitalize it (Have lots and lots of it written on paper irl here.)
So far Nothing on finding a Drawer/CG Artist.
