I'm pretty sure this was one of the lesser-known anime of 2012, but I saw it recently and loved it. Here's the details:

Synopsis

60 years ago, a young woman was left to die in the abandoned school building behind the exclusive Seikyou Academy. No one knows why. No one knows how. But the horrifying tale and the legends of the ghostly haunting that followed live on to this day. Perhaps it's not so surprising then, that among Seikyou's many school clubs is one for students interested in "paranormal investigations." What might raise more than a few hairs, however, is that the founder of the club is the ghost herself. Unable to remember how she died and trapped in the grey land between life and death, Yuuko latches onto Teiichi Niiya, a freshman who can inexplicably see her, and together they and the other unsuspecting members of the club begin to unravel the many dark mysteries that surround Seikyou. Will unlocking the secret of Yuuko's gruesome death finally free her? Or will her sudden close association with a mortal have even stranger repercussions on both of their existences?

Personally, this was a horror anime that actually had me freaked out for a few moments. The ending was also up to standard and didn't kill the whole anime for me. However, it did feel like a cliffhanger.

What were your thoughts on this anime (if you've seen it)?

Mine is too, but this anime is one of those that if you watch it for a bit you'll get hooked and finish it really quickly. I finished it in 2 days and I haven't even finished watching Jinrui yet...(that anime's a classic).

Mine is too, but this anime is one of those that if you watch it for a bit you'll get hooked and finish it really quickly. I finished it in 2 days and I haven't even finished watching Jinrui yet...(that anime's a classic).

I could probably finish it in by the end of the day today, but I need to finish a few shows first.

This anime is really good, it has a good mix of romance/comedy/horror.
And just like Alwynwan said once you start it you get hooked to it and can't stop watching. ^^

I'm watching this show.
The piano beat is pretty awesome when the Heroine of the story is introduced.
The plot of "amnesia" and the various mysteries makes me hooks me on.

Its a recommended watch, I'd say. Not sure if people are into that genre, but I believe you should give it a try, had a serene yet a horror and sensitive touch to it. :c~ Oh, I can somewhat play it's ending song "Karandorie" on my old keyboard as well. xD

Yeah that was pretty messed for me as well, but I guess if she stayed around you so often for as long as she did, you would end up with some feelings for her.

The person who originally played it and made its midi file, uploaded his Synthesia video on youtube which actually helped me learn it. (Search it up there to find it :P) I'm not really a natural at piano xD I can't read sheets since I wasn't given any training ever, just that I found an old keyboard so I mess around. .-.;
