Well, Hey Hackforums 🤝
Last month I were working on some project, many of you don't even know about it, but some of you do.
It's an Extremely amazing, Creative, Unique and Special Project,
Most of all, its important to me.
Do you know that feeling, when you do something but can't get it done? and you dream about it everyday? well, that's my feeling right now..
I'm requesting you, The Python Members to help me out, Together we could work out this project and Make it successful
If you Think* you smart (You don't ineeded to be smart.) and Creative and most of all, Like to work as a group and help other people, you are more then welcome to come and work with me in this project.
Few things that you must* have:
[-] Skype - to keep in contact ( If you have, without a fake name )
[-] Facebook (This one is by your choice*)
[-] Creativity, and off course brain!
That's it :)
If you want to join, PM me message
I can only tell you.. this Project Include smart intelligence, Robotics, and Hardware combining :)
I hope ℛhynorater Can approve my word, as He know about this project for awhile!
Edit: well, as people requested me to give some information about my project.. here it is:
Think about, that you waking up in the morning, with sweet music that choose in randomization from your music folder...
Then the smart house (I call her Keren, from Spongebob moive.. >.<)
ask you if you would like a cup of coffee, if she recognize your approve, she will send GPIO (General Purpose Input Output) to the relay and from there to the coffee machine, then in X seconds she will stop it (when the coffee be ready) and tell you that it's ready :)
Well that's a super duper small piece of my project idea,
I know how to do this, but the problem, I am a bad python coder :/
What do you think guys?
Edit: There is another small update.. we made up company, a real world company we have our own interface for making the things done.
Good luck with this project of yours, hopefully it comes out nicely!
I wish I could help.

Meh. The thing is, I'm all for the open source movement and it kinda annoys me when people sit on their code. I guess you can keep it if you want, but to me, that's not what it's about. I love to code and release all of it to the world, so everyone can look at it, improve on it, and swag it out and all.
But good luck with the project, man!
edit: To further improve on my point (I feel like I came off a bit vague):
When you have a great idea, by all means, work on it until it's ready. When it's evolved into something worthy of the rest of the world, and something people can use as a basis for stuff, release it into the wild! Then, your beautiful idea evolves into so many different things! One person has made a dragon out of it, and another has made a cat, etc. etc. Especially with original ideas, unless you plan on making money off something for a company or something, releasing an original idea or a better way to do something is beneficial to the entire community. idk, giving back to the community that has made so much information and swag available to everyone just seems like the right thing to do.

Thats the hacker mind set, alot of these kids are here for something else. I seen one guy make a thread asking for the community to help him make a program so he could sell it back to the community.

Well, Who said its not an open source?
You can look up at my threads (There aren't many off them..)
But every piece of thing I create, I release it for free.
If I would choice to not support the OS (Open Source) Rule,
I would choice different language like .NET Or maybe PHP and web.
This will be Open Source, no money will be gathered within this project.

Ah.
Not to be pushy then, but why not just put it in the post so everyone can work on it as a collective project? o_o
You don't have to, just seems like it would be easier, given your stance on releasing code. (also easier for people who want to work on it, but don't want to do it on a non-HF platform)

Well.. as I said before, its python combined with few other modules (Hardware) so, not everyone can make it work, Personally I have the required hardware to work out the project, Well, Everyone can the hardware is pretty cheap and the idea.. Smart House combined with "Virtual assistant", controlled by android voice commands.
Sounds like a nice project, my curiosity is aroused, i have pm you.
This is a very plausible project, radio shack will have everything except the servos, I think. You could get 'Door poppers' for heavy lifting or "heavy opening" and regular servos from a RC hobby shop. Check out this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uetwqXYqd2U, its funny you posted this because I was just at radio shack looking for something to get into.
I don't have enough posts to PM you but i'd love to help! PM me with your skype.

Nice! but we won't use arduino, we use Raspberry Pi instant :)
So.. I see you have lot of knowledge, would you like to join?
Yeah, vouch for this project as he said. It's really cool and unique. Hit me up with the details bro, I'll see what I can do.
