Can I see the course syllabus before I sign up?
Yes, you can reach the course syllabus by clicking on the course image above. Alternatively, you can click the following links:
Intro to OOP in Java
Web Design Primer
Intro to Web Development
What is required to take a class?
Our classes will run through either Google Hangouts or Skype (depending on the teacher's preference). You will need a computer that can do both. A microphone is not required but is highly recommended.
What payment methods do you accept?
Right now we accept PayPal and Bitcoin. If for some reason these payment methods do not work for you, we will consider accepting other forms of payment. PM me for more information.
What is a "session"?
Classes are broken up into sessions. Sessions do not have a set length but will end when the students fully understand the topics being discussed.
Are there assignments?
Yes, each course has one final assignment. This is not required but is highly recommended. If a student completes his/her final project to a satisfactory level, we will officially recognize their completion of the course and will vouch for their abilities in the areas covered in the course.
Are classes in groups?
Yes, we are currently doing class sizes of 3. If you wish to have private lessons, PM me (but it will cost more).
Can I receive a refund?
Yes, you may receive a refund (no questions asked) after the first session of a course. After that we will no longer refund you because teaching is a large time commitment and you should be able to get a good idea after the first session if a course right for you.
Can anyone take an advanced course?
No, in order to take an advanced course, one must either complete the prerequisite coursework or submit a sample of their work that demonstrates their proficiency in desired areas. Keep in mind that we currently are not offering any advanced courses.
How many teachers do you have?
We currently have two teachers and one more potential teacher. We plan on adding more teachers as our class selection expands.
You call yourself HF University, are you officially associated or endorsed by HackForums?
No.
Why are these courses so expensive?

Sounds like an awesome idea! Good luck with sales
Pretty awesome service bro, good luck with sales.
I'm like a crushed light bulb, all out of shine.
I'm so scared of the future so I stay stuck, broken in to pieces and my spirit's all taped up.
Might try the webdesign course, Do we get to pick course times or pick from multiple times?
Cool, I might invest in this for Java :D I can never seem to make any sense out of it. ;_;
I don't think this is worth the price due to the fact half the people will flake out after a while.
Unique idea though, Good luck.

I guarantee it will make sense after this course 😁
I find this to be a great idea. Although im on a programming course and I can easily go to google ask for help on the forums, even though google probably already knows the answer. Theres also videos on youtube explaining everything. Or I could do that on my local school, or the library, but good luck with that anyway. Just doesnt seem worth it to me.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
I might take the Java course, however I am concerned that I really can just go online and self learn and $125 would of been wasted. Will the classes have assignments or something
125$ is a lot of money for this. You can go to Google and search Cave of Programming and have 50+ tutorials on Java. Not including all the free ebooks out there and help from members on this forum it would be free.

Some people like me cant learn with out someone keeping me focused, When ever I try to learn something first thing I do is get distracted.
I agree with post post above, Having a teacher is really valuable tbh. If you don't understand something or need advice on a E-book your a bit stuck.

Just try learning online, anything you don't get there is multiple forums including HF that will help, the java subforum, or another website forum specific for java. If people for some reason cannot learn this online, then they should get this overpriced course.
