I'm from America and I love pomegranates. The way I ate them as a kid (and sometimes still) is to toss it at a wall or on the ground and split it open. They were always messy lol. I will give this a try sometime.

I haven't eaten a single pomegranate in about 3-4 months.
I remember when I was a kid it I would always have red hands and stains on my clothing after eating one.
I haven't ever used this sort of method to remove the insides of it.
I might as well try it.
