Im going to be doing one of these reviews every Saturday. I am looking for a new graphic for this. While I like the one Harmony made for this it is a series specific graphic and would like one that is a bit more broad. PM me if you can help.

Characters
Makina Hoshimura - After being brutally murdered along with her family, Makina Hoshimura turns into a Shikabane Hime, a living corpse contracted to the Kougon Cult, in order to exert revenge on the mysterious undead organization responsible for her death. She is assisted in this task by Keisei Tagami, her contracted priest and former friend.
Ouri Kagami - At first a regular boy who coincidentally gets caught up in more than a few incidents involving the shikabanes. As Ouri's attachment to the dark side of death grows, he slowly learns the truth about his hidden past, the black cat, and the large organization behind the creation of shikabanes.
Keisei "Shikei" Tagami - Older brother of Ouri Kagami and Contracted Priest of Makina Hoshimura. He becomes Makina's Contracted Priest to help her attain her wish for a revenge against the Shichisei, a group of undead elites, who murdered her and her family.
He has no blood relation with Ouri, but he was the one who adopted him into the orphanage (after a terrible incident.). He always tries to protect Ouri by keeping him away from knowing the truth about Shikabane Himes and many abnormal incident - but seems that the incidents keep appearing before Ouri instead.
My Opinion
I thought it was a pretty neat show. The characters were built up massively but the first part of both seasons arent fantastic. It is a pretty disappointing start but if you start it and dont like it you CANT drop it. If you think you want to drop it you have to at least watch the entire first season. The action aspect is very good and the overall story and logic of it is interesting. There is a little romance throughout but it never gets cheesy or annoying. The horror aspect isnt massive but I feel it was enough for me.
My Rating - 7/10
I recommend this to anyone that likes action and horror.
