Are graphics cards usually loud?

I have a 2gb ddr3 nvidia geforce gt 610 gigabyte graphics card and it is just damn loud!

Are these graphics cards usually loud?

You have either or both dust clogged GPU sink or/and degraded thermal paste.

This.

Your card can be under extreme loads and is just ramping up the fan speeds.

I do not understand what you said. Can you please explain it better?

Check to see if your graphics card is clogged with dust.

The thermal paste between the heatsink and the GPU can be old and/or degraded.

Just check, diagnose, and clean.

My graphics card is VERY silent. I don't think it should be that loud...Did you do anything to it? Drop it, try to overclock it, anything if that sort lol?

It is not covered in dust. I have already checked.

Alrighty. What are you doing that is making the card loud?

Is it being loud on idle?

You can turn the fan speeds down with MSI Afterburner.

50 degrees on idle isn't all that good. Something is up with your computer.

Go to the MRT section and ask for help. You may have a virus/bitcoin miner on your computer.

I do not have any virus. This computer is new (to me) fresh windows install and I have not downloaded any random .exe.

What is the normal heat on idle that my computer should be on?

If that is the case then, here is my final tips:

- Reboot

- Take out the graphics card and clean it even though there is no dust. Place new thermal paste if you have any lying around.

- Monitor GPU usage with Afterburner

- Turn down fan speeds in Afterburner

GPU idle should be 5-10 degrees above your room temperature. (25-35 usually)

I am not very good with computer things. I do not want to take out the graphics card. My dad can not at the moment as he broke his knee a few days ago.

Where my desktop is my air conditioner can not flow there and it is usually very hot in my room.

I would run a check for viruses either way. You never know what could of happened by mistake.
oww lol. i had this with my graphics card for over 8 months. finally i reinstalled OS (win7) and then added the same driver and it began again. my advise: try a different driver. i have tried like 5 different ones and on 1 my gpu is always around 103C and others around 30-40C
