Investing in 1.5 acres of land per year.

Hey guys so my dad bought 5 acres yesterday and I think I'm going to buy 2 acres for my self. Its running at about $10k per 1.5k-1.8 acres.

I was thinking about doing this for 6 years (the remaining time I have with the US Navy) Then just selling it all at the end.

Idk what do you guys think? Ill be 27 with 10 acres of land which sounds pretty cool.

UPDATE: Guys by Feb 6th i should be the proud owner of 1.7 Acres of land. Just need to finish the deal.
Do it! Absolutely, 110% do it. People will always need land and I guarantee in 6 years they'll definitely want it.
4 years ago they offered my grandpa $200,000 per acre where he lived. He had 13.
What's your job in the Navy?

Hold on to the land, don't sell it. It's always nice to have 5 acres of extra land. Who knows what happens in the future. You may end up wanting to be a hermit and living off your own land.

Haha yeah you never know!

Its in a very nice state as well with a beautiful beach only 30mins away
Yeah, buy land but not housing. Housing adds a lot of extra work and we are most likely in a secondary housing bubble at the moment.
Just wondering. Do you do anything with the land like rent it out or just buy it and sell? Where do you buy it from?

Yeah theres no home on the land. The taxes are close to $40 a year.

I'm thinking about planting 30 fruit trees then during the season pay someone to collect the fruits then sell them to a wholeseller

1) Thats pretty sweet

2) Or tbh just have it as a summer activity for your family
Keep investing, you will make massive profit in the future.
Out here my sister is going to inherit all of her grandpas 40 acres, it's nice. It has 2 houses on it that are hardly ever used. But I'd say go for it, if you're getting it cheap than go for it.

whole lotta gang shit
Im doing this aswell you cant build land well in the future their will be like huge skyscrapers and such
