[Kina]

I am still looking for a new graphic for this. While I like the one Harmony made for this it is a series specific graphic and would like one that is a bit more broad. PM me if you can help.

Also, sorry about the inconsistency of my reviews, lately I've just been doing them whenever I feel like it as I have a couple of personal things going on. While I plan to still do them, they will become less frequent, as some of you may have already noticed. We'll see where things take us though. ✌

Synopsis
Rin Asogi is an immortal private detective with a thirst for vodka and a talent for attracting things that go bump in the night. In a series of nightmarish vignettes spanning sixty-five years, Rin's lush body is sadistically pierced, blown up, and mulched to a bloody pulp. The fiend behind her tortured existence is Apos, an eternal being obsessed with sacrificing Rin to Yggdrasil, the tree of all life. While Rin struggles to unravel the secrets of her endless agony, Apos lurks in the shadows, eager to tear into her ripe body and devour the memories of her countless lives. Rin's no stranger to the realm of the dead, but her next visit could last forever.

Characters
*It is difficult to write this character details because the show is 6 episodes. I take pride in knowing my reviews are basically spoiler free.
Mimi

Rin's assistant. It is hinted throughout the series that they also have a more intimate relationship, though in episode four she appears to have grown close to the informant who was introduced in episode 3.

She is an immortal as well, and appears to have a bright personality. She is fond of alcoholic drinks despite looking like a teenager.
Her job scope includes financial management, information processing, and other miscellaneous tasks.

She cares for Rin very much and would do anything to ensure her safety, even while nagging her to do the job properly.
She is also a formidable hacker.
And she is my favorite character from the show.

Rin Asogi

The protagonist of the series. Her appearance is that of someone in her late twenties, but her real age is unknown.
She usually wears a black suit and glasses. Her whimsical personality serves as a front for a cunning, ruthless mind and extraordinary martial art skills. She always keeps a number of throwing blades and a garrote wire concealed on her body. At some point in the past, a "Fruit of Time" entered Rin's body, effectively making her immortal, unable to age, and capable of surviving and regenerating from a phenomenal amount of bodily damage.
She and Mimi run the detective business Asōgi Consulting together in West Shinjuku

Apos

The main antagonist of the series.
He has a really cool name. Apos? Yeah, thats dope.
Sorry, there isnt a whole lot to say of him because he isnt really revealed until later in the show, he is just mysterious a lot...
Any detailed explanation of him would be spoiler heavy.

Laura

An assassin, skilled with firearms and other weapons, who is repeatedly sent to assassinate Rin by Apos.
Again, its hard to put a good explanation for her part in the show because she only appears to kill Rin. Thats it.

My Opinion
There is a lot to say about this one. I'll start with saying that for a while this was my favorite show. It has plenty of action in every episode. The story progression is a bit sloppy but isn't uninteresting, it has a good story just a weird timeline and explanation of how they got from point A to point B. There is only 6 episodes but they are 45 minutes a piece so it is as long as a 12 episode show time wise. As you may have saw above it is R+ rated. Yeah, saying it only has mild nudity is an understatement in my opinion, but that's what its rated. There is nudity in every episode. They didn't hold back when making RIN. That's probably the only thing I didn't like about this series, I don't feel like I could watch this during the day with a possibility of family members walking in and seeing this. It would be awkward, but at night or something, its great. I'm not saying its hentai but it isn't family friendly either. The first episode has to be one of my favorite of the 6 and is what got me and should get everyone else hooked. Literally the first 10 minutes should get you hooked.
Ultimately, I would say that some people will just not like this show, the fan service and nudity will turn some people away, as well as the slightly sloppy story progression. But a lot of people will love this show because of the action, story, and fan service...
Wow, sorry for the LOOONG opinion part, this was a good amount to say lol
