So I currently have an iPhone 5 GSM running iOS 7.0.0. I want to update to iOS 7.0.6 but I keep getting the 3194 Error. I've tried all methods when editing/replacing the "hosts" file and no luck.

I then thought I could do the downgrade iTunes to 11.0.5 method so I could shirt click on update. I got a Library error. I fixed that by deleting the iTunes folder under the My Music folder. But now I'm getting another error.

"The iPhone cannot be used because it requires iTunes 11.1 or later."

Honestly if this isn't gonna work Imma delete my host file and see if it'll regenerate and I can do all the other methods from there.

Also I've tried the TinyUmbrella and Error 11 methods. So I'm pretty sure I've tried all the available methods except finding out how to get past this little error lol

3194/3195 are "Device is not elligible for the requested build". At this time, there is no MC+ method of going around that. Once your device hits 7.x you can't use the old APTicket downgrade by DeFranco. Best (and only) option, assuming your result is different firmware, is the signed 7.1 firmware. I truely am sorry. On the other hand, if it is a 4/4S, I would be happy to give you a tad bit of code that will help you downgrade iBSS (tethered) in order to use the APTicket and SHSH replay attacks in conjunction.

You're getting that error because you're trying to update to a firmware that is no longer able being signed.

No matter what you do or try, you will not be able to update to iOS 7.0.6. The only way for you to update to that firmware is if Apple starts signing it again.

7.0.6 isn't being signed anymore.
7.1 only. If you update you loose your jailbreak and won't be getting it back for a while bro

Not exactly accurate. The jailbreak is still open, the kernel exploit is not. Find a new one and your vector is still the same. Good luck!

Do you think theres any important information in the 7.0.0 build that could help further down the line of JB? Like how iOS 6 was to iOS 7?

I'm not sure if it is cuz now SHSH blobs don't exist but who knows right? Should I just keep my phone at 7.0 even if they come out with a 7.1 JB?

no. You're still vulnerable to the SSL exploit. I really don't think any jailbreak tweak is worth leaving that open.

My sister was using my laptop and updated my phone to 7.1 and I lost my jailbreak and all the tweaks I had.

Spent the last 2 hours trying to find a way to downgrade to 7.0.6 seeing how nobody is going to release a 7.1 jailbreak because of the presumed release of iOS 8 in June.

They aren't useless, they can be used with a replay attack, as long as we find ANOTHER APTicket bug.
