What are some tips someone could give me?

Should I get a reseller package? [found a decent one that does basically all the support for me] -but I also wanna learn a little more about it myself-

I'm in college for IT majoring in cyber security and I wanna get more into the scene. So can anyone help? I'll be putting all my money into and my time..

If you are getting a reseller hosting just make sure that it's from a reliable provider. Don't go for some cheap reseller hosting, they probably will be overselling their resources. If you are good with servers then it's even better to get a VPS and use Cpanel along with it. This will grant you more control.

Due to previous experience, I'd recommend not too buy a re-seller package and in fact pay for a dedicated server, as in a re-seller package, you are limited too alot of things like space and you don't have 100% control over it. ✌

I found one more a pretty big company that has pretty good services and looks after tickets.. even tho I rather look after so I can learn... and how much would a dedi and cpanel cost me?

Buy a server with a cPanel / WHM license so you can go through it all yourself... It'll be a better learning experience and like others have said, you'll have full control.

It's $30 monthly for Cpanel if it's for a dedi and $15 per month for VPS Cpanel license.Although i highly recommend you to get a Managed VPS though so that you will get enough support from your host.
