help hashcat brute force on kali linux

i encrypt password to md5
password : test
md5 : 098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6

i am using kali linux and now i want to brute force password with hashcat, i want to use single hash, but i don't know how to put parameter in hashcat

anyone can help me how to put parameter in hashcat ?
hashcat --help

Example for wpa/wpa2 is 2500:
./hashcat-cli64.bin -m 2500 --pw-min=8 --pw-max=8 -a 3 captured_handshake.hccap ?a?a?a?a?a?a?a?a
use OclHashcat to make use of your graphic card for alot faster brute force.

but why brute force and not use a wordlist or dictionary?
you can Try with hashkiller dude 😏
