[Hexicidal]

It's nearly 3 A.M. as I type this little post up. I have a migraine and am incredibly frustrated about a recent PayPal error after a site member attacked my PP. With that in mind, please keep my perspective in mind while you read the following. I'm not going to promise an incredible thread, or even something possibly coherent. This thread will serve purpose as follows, a partial feedback thread to Omniscient and the community, and a thank you to everyone.

This site is here for one reason, business. When it comes down to it, that's all it is. With business comes professionalism, and when you learn to be professional and when to let go, that is when you have it down. When I refer to "it", I mean just being a good member. It's that simple.

Sometimes I hop on HF, look around for 5 minutes and wish to kill the fucks. Other times I realize I need to have patience with every member. Which is sometimes if you see me post, it can go from this, to calling members out on their ignorance. If you don't know me, one of my main pet peeves is ignorance. I would never demean someone for not knowing something, but if a user knowingly is spouting false facts, I will tell it like it is.

Personally, I feel that LQ posting should have harsher punishments for members. There are constant repeat offenders that get away with murder. All current policy in regards to the site is fantastic, except for the way it is presented. -- I wish the Writ3rs would actually get the Help Documents done. I want them to fully edit them for HF and have them presented in a completely understandable and readable way to the HackForums community. I would also love to see the Writ3rs complete the Wiki in progress for the last decade or so.

This staff team, is the best staff team I have ever seen on HF. I think they will change the way HF is with the skills they bring, and the personalities they have. Bossman does what bossman does, and if you don't like that he will tell you himself to fuck off. That's how a business should be run, and he does it well. F8, compassionate, caring, and wholehearted. He is a great individual and a core member of HF, even if you don't ever see him. He hides in between the shadows. RDCA is an old friend of mine as it turns out. There are only fourother members that have known me as long as he has, and those members are Dil., Saturday, Soulmate, and Cloudy. While we might not have always been close, he's always been one of the fairest members I have ever encountered. I don't think HF will see another staff time like this one again. It's pretty close to as good as it gets. When it's good, and you know it's good, run with it.

With the community, I sometimes forget that the we can experience a set mind of extreme group think. I wish that more individuals would speak their mind for what it truly is, instead of turning it into what someone says and just regurgitating that. I went through some old members that were once huge are gone, some probably on a multi, but I don't know that. When I look around, I don't see that many members that I can say "I know" around anymore. It is quite disheartening that members seem to have a 2-3 year lifespan on HF before they expire per say. I want more members to succeed and take the knowledge they learn from HF and apply it. That may sound absolutely lame and nerdy, but there is so much potential with everything from hands on experience to hidden knowledge. All you have to do is look at little.

Now, let me move onto groups like everyone else. Groups suck, there are so many rubbish owners that make their groups into something they shouldn't, and I don't mean thematically(i.e. gaming group, money group). Out of all the groups, there are only about 4 that are even worth their weight on HF. I think that is such a shame, there is an unlimited amount of potential with groups. I think it could be so much better, and I will start the change if other groups are too afraid to. I've changed my group multiple times, but I always go back to the basics. It works, and I shouldn't keep changing my group into something it isn't. I will be reverting Nexus into a Logic/Void lookalike soon, if I could just find a competent and willing graphics artist that would be lovely.

I guess what this comes down to is, don't be afraid to ask questions, and don't be afraid to speak your voice on HackForums. There is a secret to it though, don't be stupid about it.

Thats a lot for something you "just wanted to get posted". The current staff, while they do have their downs I believe , like you said are very good and I wouldn't change that, But groups are good no matter who leads them or in what direction, they are a way for members to communicate to each other in a more trusted or similar group. Either way, this is a very nice thread so far, and im looking forward to see more. :)

Nice to meet you Hexicidal, the business aspect of HackForums is the exact reason I joined, so I'm glad to hear a successful businessman give some motivation. Nice feedback, I agree about the groups and posting quality. (well it's not that I don't agree with the rest, I can't relate to the rest since I don't know staff as you do). Without meaning to suck your dick you're a nice guy, I think you should be more severe times to times.

I've read about Void on the SF, I have no idea how it was since I'm new but I hope you'll manage to achieve your goals with this, sounds like a serious step and if may I add, much needed. Good read overall, ever since I talked with you about joining Nexus I considered you a HQ mofo, and damn I wasn't wrong about it. It's funny how I joined in such a hectic period, the rise and fall of omnicoins (hopefully will rise again after the allcrypts trolls will be out), and now reading about Nexus' future. Good luck in everything you do Hexi and by the way, if you want some graphical services I would be more than happy to help you out free of charge, I have a good few years of experience under my belt when it comes to design and web development. Never three years ago when we were playing Battlefield together just having fun online did I think we'd ever get to where we are today. You and I have been through a lot, both on our own and together. This is very true..i am glad that someone who owns a group cares about others and wants members to succeed using the knowledge they got from hf. knowledge is power and op is right about it.

Very nice feedback Hex, I agree with what you stated regarding groups. There are some groups that imo could have so much potential but they're always ruined by "sectors" instead of just having an group that shares the same interest on an particular subject such as what you guys did with Void.

You offered some very useful advice as well to newer members, We've never really chatted much but you seem like a good member of the of the community.
