Hello Guys,
It is a wonderful place to discuss and find many solutions to complicated problems. In respect of which I was going through this thread:-
https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=1290368
Post#4 shows some kind of relay which I'm unable to understand.
A few solutions are also provided by @ xZero707 bro, on Post#63 but unfortunately I didn't understood those too. ____
Ok, coming to my case. In my house the electricity guys installed a Genus Single Phase Digital Electricity meter. Here are the details :-
Installed Image of Meter from my house :-
Also Complete Meter Details :-
http://www.genus.in/product-and-service/...ase-meters
Now, the problem is the meter is Sealed completely. They have sealed the meter with Blue Seal and in bottom terminals with Red Seal. Moreover they put M-Seal in the Input Terminal to the meter, so that Jumper Method will not work.
So, I can't even touch the meter in any sense. And the meter is so Fast, that you can't even imagine. Is there any way to hack this type of meter ?
Please help to find me a way to bypass or Slow this meter down. All inputs are welcome.
Regards
PK

well it so happens to be that i just finished my education as an electrician, and from what i know some meters that are single phased(like the one above) can be turned upside down a.k.a on their head and they will either stop counting or count the other way haha :P u could try that, and if that does not work there is no other way than cutting the intake cables and hooking them directly to ur overload fuse or overvoltage fuse, be aware tho that these are live wires that will kill u in less than a second if abused, u will have to cut the power by finding ur street or home blocks fuse box in the streets and disconnecting the fuse in there.

Hi,
thanks for your input. Bro, this is a Digital Meter. Upside Down concept will not work, according to me. Moreover I can't even Cut mains cable. Its against Electricity Laws. I could be fined for that legally. :(

Sir, I don't understand its relation with IEC 62056-21.
I live in India (New Delhi). Here in Delhi, meters are digital but they don't communicate to the Distribution Company directly. A meter reader comes to take reading monthly physically to our house using this type of reader.
http://www.genus.in/product-and-service/...nstruments
He attach this reader cable to the meter middle Black Panel and takes reading. The electricity Distribution company has no control over the meter remotely.
Here I need any type of hack or bypassing method to slow or turn it off using some kind of relays or so ? Possible?
Thanks for your valuable inputs.

u can be fined legally for fuckin with the meter anyways :S and if its digital then could try hacking it urself, but i dought anyone released anything.

Hmm, yes meter is digital. But can't touch Input cable. Its made up of very High Quality Insulated material. So there is no other way out ?
No there isn't any legal solution, I've installed a few of these, i won't recommend trying to "hack" it.
If you try to fuck with it, your insurance won't cover any damage (house fire or so).
And they can read out information, if they check it and find something unusual there will be consequences like a
penalty, which is high.
Greets :)

Hey,
Are you residing in Delhi? Are you a electrician? Isn't there any type of Magnetic or Electric Coils which can be used to stop this meter without breaking its seal from outside?
I know its illegal but still I want to try it.
Thank you
No and yes i was an electrician, now i'm in college again. To be honest i don't know exactly how it works, but it will be hacked within time, but the seal on it probably has to be broken. You've made me curious, but myself i won't take the risk :)
The old type of meters have bin hacked several times, i'm not sure what a magnetic/electric field will do to it, magnetic nothing ill guess.
I'm sorry i can't help you more.

new meters have a faraday's cage surrounding the components, so u would have to break the seal and remove the cage, the cage will just consume and remove all electric fields that is close to it ;)

I don't know about Faraday's cage, but I can't remove seal as it is registered and recorded in distribution company's records.
hacking electronic meter can be done by
magnetic impulse ...
but its to hard to do ..
Digital meters wont go backwards or stop. The only way to get around it is bypassing it. (Source: Meter Man)
I catch theft ALL the time and I would not suggest doing it (unless of course i am your meter guy because I get a nice bonus for reporting theft)
Edit: Oh also most meters now-a-days send a signal right to the utility when its disconnected.
you could always do the street light trick...
were i used to live we used to run wires from the street lights, the power during the day was minimal lucky if you could power 1 bulb but at night it worked perfect,
what we done to counteract the elecy being off during the day we went to the scrap yard and picked up 39 car batteries and set them up in the garage,
we had a ring switch setup, so electricity was equally balanced between the batteries for charging, we had enough charge + more to last us the whole day...
we done this for 4 years before moving and no one ever noticed, the elecy man did say our meter readings were low but i just said that we didnt really live in the house much...

That is probably one of the most bizarre setups I have ever heard for trying to lower your electric bill. You must have some interesting projects around your house.
