Okay so Im new here on hf, I thought Id make a post about my programing experience and tell you guys about my self real quick... First off I just started java a few months ago and Im really enjoying it a lot more then vb and yes i do have a lot of vb experience like a lot of you guys but now that i have a 2011 macbook pro i use 24/7 I started learning Java because of eclipse being multi platform 🙂
About me, I took a programing class in school on visual basic and learned a lot, along with that programing class i took a web masters class. Fortunately Im not going back to high school and Im going to get my ged because I don't want to deal with the college hype because I don't plan on going to some big name university <--- doesn't mean Im not smart lol..
Alright enough with boring you guys. Now what I wanted to do is start actually making java programs.. I want to make a collection of programs and then get more advanced into rats and crypters. I was maybe thinking about starting off with like keyloggers and networking tools and working my way up.. Which leads me to the question of does anyone have any ideas on what programs I should attempt to program? I do have experience and please trolls stay out of this thread Im serious about programing and iv seen a few threads on here were people have posted simple "hello world" projects for the lols... Thanks and anyone know of any good books? Iv been through a lot of youtube series and Iv googled some stuff but I think there might be some good books out there that I might not know of thanks 😁
i started java with java for dummies and had a module in java for college (does playing crash bandicoot in a lecture count as learning??).
keyloggers in java?? last i heard it was impractical (please someone prove me wrong so my hopes go up again). one project i tried but gave up on due to time was to use java to list all files on a drive, scan their files sizes and save ones under a certain size to a list, then use that list to on by one upload them to virus total and then fetch the results.
currently in java I'm making my own program to fetch torrents from a website automatically for me based on what I add into a watch list.

Yeah I didn't know if it were possible, I have downloaded java rats but I feel like there should be more cross platform hacking tools, and btw that torrent fetching program sounds pretty cool I could test it out for you if you ever needed a tester 🙂 that actually opens my mind to plenty of ideas
I always wondered why java got dissed so much as a "bad hacking language" , sure it may not be as easily hidden compared to others (darn that obvious jvm), but given most people have java (alot more not even realising they use it), is it not a more suitable language to say social engineer people out of important things, eg the robot class can take screenshots regardless if the program is in focus or not, hide it in a java game or innocent jar and have it send pics to home base??
if you have ever heard of the usb rubber ducky by hak5 i made a mini java program that emulates it and runs the ducky scripts without needing to purchase a ducky, handy for debugging,

It's always good to try multiple languages etc... You never know you could do with the language until you start experimenting with it..

agreed, continuing with java it does have some nice features, being cross platform is handy, the bulk of an application could be java and be used on multiple platforms, I'm sure any platform native features java cant do could be accomplished through native scripts launched by the java application itself, for example java never could control the master volume of my windows machine, but it could run a vbs script that could.

Yeah, and the fact that you can make keyloggers using python when python is like one of the easiest languages to learn is kinda funny.. I think some programmers get to far ahead of themselves when it comes to what you can do with code 😎 I think you know what I mean
agreed, your only limitation to anything is really your imagination and the amount of beer you can have before you forget the word imagination. So the logical question now is, what hacker related tasks is java best for, what programs for hackers can java be successfuly made in java. It would be interesting to come up with a list.
I'd add possible bots to the list, robot class and similar allows full control of mouse and keyboard, chatbots can be made in java and java can parse fom the net, so whats stopping a java program/bot being able to pretend to be a real person on a facebook account or similiar. for what ever purposes you need a legit looking account for. though being honest I did give up making this as at the time I didnt have the skills to complete it (I needed it to pretend to be me, so I could ignore people and do my own thing yet still appear to be social to people ).

Yeah, iv also seen a few java rats here on hf and thought Id try them out 🙂

If you are still looking for things to make for practice I would recommend the list in my older thread. https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4312503
There are some rather decent stretches on there and with proper effort you can make a few useful bits of reusable code while doing them.
I would normally try to be a bit more HQ and not just link to another thread, but I've lost faith in newbies to the section after trying to help a few of the ones we have had in the last few weeks.
