Been thinking about making this for some time now and decided to go for it even though originally wanted more stuff in here but will add on the thread over time.
I will just compile all kinds of stuff for both personal use and for others to read and maybe learn something new.
Video players and codecs:
MPC-HC (Media Player Classic)If you want the most quality out of your anime MPC-HC, supports all common video and audio file formats and doesn't bloat your system. Also has lots of community created shaders and renderers: http://mpc-hc.org/
It is extremely lightweight, you can change UI's with 1, 2 and 3 if you want to change the looks or make it minimalistic.
MPV (MPV Plays Videos)Also a great player, open-source and even have people raving about it being superior to MPC-HC: http://mpv.io/
VLC (VideoLAN Client)If you don't mind the quality loss and just want everything to work right out of the box VLC does just that.
Quality difference in VLC and MPC-HC:

KCP (Kawaii Codec Pack)KCP is a codec pack that contains the latest DirectShow components, utilized to decode an array of media types, pretty much a MPC-HC fork but instead of installing everything yourself KCP does it for you.
Want to watch anime in 60fps?
You can do so by following this thread: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4408014
Would only recommend this for fight intense anime.
Anime stuff general:
NyaaNyaa is where i download anything on-going, open for everyone.
animebytesIf a show is finished i get it from animebytes, this site is invite only though.
HaruhiChanHaruhichan is another good, open site to grab your tentacle hentai from. Looks way better then nyaa and is very easy to use.
https://animetosho.org/
The times i stream (only stream on my tablet) i do so from: http://www.masterani.me/ because i love how easy the site is to use and how extremely convenient it is that the website auto updates your MAL/HB for you!
Only other site i used before that was: http://kissanime.com/
If you actually want to support the anime branch you should consider a sub on crunchyroll, they don't have everything but they have a great service and it works great on pretty much any platform and is really convenient: http://www.crunchyroll.com/
If you want to auto log what you have been watching to MAL/HB you can do so by checking this out and find something that fits your OS etc: https://hummingbird.me/apps
I personally use Taiga since im on windows: http://taiga.erengy.com/
Here is a website that tells you when shows are getting new episodes and you can pick specific fansubs to, it also poops out RRS feed which can be used with Taiga to download new episodes: https://www.shanaproject.com/
Want to see what's airing at the moment and what will be coming up check this site out: http://anichart.net/
To track my watched anime and read manga i personally use HB but lots of people use MAL as well: http://myanimelist.net/
https://hummingbird.me/
Use whatever suits you the best.
If you want to transfer your MAL list to HB you can do so by going to http://myanimelist.net/panel.php?go=export and then importing the file to HB: https://hummingbird.me/settings
Youtubers doing reviews or anime related content:

https://www.youtube.com/user/GRArkada

Chromecast corner:
Wondering what a Chromecast is? Click here!
PlexSince i prefer to download and watch my anime i use Plex to do so.
Crunchyroll allows you to stream directly to your chromecast now: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/20...chromecast
You can also stream anime directly from masterani.me by using a Plex plugin: https://forums.plex.tv/index.php/topic/1...hd-and-sd/
Manga and Visual Novels :
HoneyviewHoneyview is what i personally use for reading manga on the computer, it's an extremely fast image viewer that i would also recommend to use for everything else and replace the stock one.
MComixMComix is a dedicated manga reader, not the smoothest program on windows and is more made for linux.
I personally read on my tablet (iPad) and never on my PC so don't have any experience here but i guess you could either just torrent it and get some kind of reader (someone with experience here, do post)! Only site i can think of is: http://mangafox.me/
http://bato.to/
http://mangastream.com/manga
3TB db of manga and novels: https://manga.madokami.com/Manga
To be able to download from the site you need to register an account and you do that through irc: ftp://madokami.com/READ.txt
Another one:
https://github.com/ameboide/webcomic_reader
The app im using for ios is: Manga Browser, Downloader & Reader which is paid and pretty buggy with the downloading but other than that it's really nice. Not experienced with the free versions so someone else with any experience here feel free to post!
https://itunes.apple.com/se/app/manga-ro...75128?mt=8
If you want to keep up to date with whats out and if something has been translated yet: https://www.mangaupdates.com/
Games:
Osu!Osu! HF already have a thread about it here: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?ti...Osu+thread
https://vndb.org/
Stuff to add/do:
• Anime related youtubers
• Anime related pictures, music and music players
• Visuan Novels, light novels and anime related games
• Look up and research some good apps and methods of reading manga on all platforms
• Add a music section

This is all i can think of at the moment, haven't slept all night so there is probably some flaws in the thread so if you find any do point them out so i can fix. Also if you have anything you feel is worth to add just post and i will have a look at it!
