My little brother George still in PICU and fighting a mystery illness. Rough week for him as he was med flighted to Rochester on Tuesday evening after suffering a 30 minute seizure...something he has never experienced and high fever. EMT and ER saved his life and kept him alive. Heroes in my book! Doctors here at the Mayo frantically stayed by his side and as of yesterday afternoon he appeared to stabilize. Last night his breathing got worse and depleted before our eyes so back to the PICU by 9 pm. Cpap on high all night as we waited. Got worse and by 7 am moved to Bipap with light sedation. Does not make sense. Blood looks good. Urine looks good. No signs of infection and seizures now but why is his breathing so bad is the question that baffles everyone here. We are staying strong with prayers and prayers but we all feel helpless at this point. A few more days in PICU is planned at appts here everyday next week. Teams and teams of doctors are researching what could this be. Adding to the complexity is his rare diagnosis of Mowat Wilson Syndrome.
I don't know what to do anymore because the doctors say he will probably pass away. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Edit: I asked for pictures and here he is for those who think I'm trolling:
I'm sorry buddy. Stay positive everything will be alright my friend :)

I will never give up on him, he is my brother and I will never I mean never give up on him.
Has he had an xray done on his chest and head yet? Odd breathing, seizures, and everything else points to brain tumor, imo. I might be biased though since I've had to deal with that twice in our family and extended family.
I do wish the best for you OP. I understand how hard it can be, especially when people don't know what's wrong. I honestly hope and pray for the best outcome.

They have literally done everything to him to find a cause and they just can't.

I wish your family the best op. I've had really hard life troubles the past few years and know how it hurts the whole family. Stay strong my man. Message me if you ever need to.
Edit: Op, could the seizures be due to the Mowar-Wilson Syndrome? Wikipedia: This autosomal dominant disorder is characterized by a number of health defects including Hirschsprung's disease, mental retardation, epilepsy <------ Since your brother's brain is still developing, it is possible that he had his first seizure then instead of before?

I have seen people die in front of me because of the military but I can't seem to...well you know.

He has had many seizures but never a 30 minute seizure and apparently was left limp and lifeless.
I cannot see him due to financial difficulties. I am a college student with very little income.
He is in Wisconsin and I am in Texas and cannot see him.
May 1000 tigers protect him as he sleeps.

The thing is I don't want him to pass away, he's pretty much my child even even though he's my brother.
Why is there a scar in the middle of his chest? Did he have a surgery before this happened? If so it could be from the past surgery
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
There is a scar in the middle of his chest because he had open heart surgery so doctors could fix the hole in his heart that he was born with.
