Happy HF bday to me, well... this year passed quickly.

Story Time
It's been exactly 1 year today that I joined HF. Before HF the only time I would use a PC would be to chat with friends, firstly I used MSN Messenger (many years ago now!) and then after a few years I finally decided to jump on the facebook hype. I always thought people who sat on their PC all day or used sites like facebook and played games had no lives. I was correct because I am now one of those people lol.
Shortly before I joined HF I was part of a very, VERY small game forum. I got banned from that forum so I decided to google search things like "how to hack a forum", "hacking tools", "hacking services" and what ever other clueless searches I could think of at the time. HF was always on the first page so I decided to join hoping to learn how to hack a forum.
My attention almost instantly got turned from hacking a forum to online monetizing and ebooks promising me $1000 per second, get rich while you sleep methods! haha. After a couple of ebook purchases, I quickly realised they was a load of shit. I then hovered around the monetizing section for a couple of months, I have no idea why since that was shit also. (Although sonex has done an impressive job of turning it around). I got into some HF skype groups, started chatting with other users via PM's and started trying to monetize anything and everything that resulted in failed attempt after failed attempt.
After around 6 to 7 months of just browsing and posting around I decided to make a thread stating I had money to spend and wanted to make more money with it. guycheap messaged me and said he could set me up a VPN service and since I would have just blown the money on booze and drugs anyway, I decided to give it to him. I'm glad I did because I still run my VPN service and it's been funding my habits ever since lol. (Thanks guy 🤣 )
Groups
I was never into joining groups, I've still never made a single application to join one. Firstly I was invited to Enterprise, all I saw was a group of guys who seemed to be making some serious money, I quickly accepted the offer and joined. Met a lot of cool guys in this group, had some awesome fun chatting in the sub-forum and the skype chat with too many users to mention! Not long after I joined Enterprise and I mean 24 to 48 hours later, sonex sent me a PM saying I would had been invited to Specialists because I won one of his tutorial contests in the MT section. I'm still not 100% sure if this was truthful or he just didn't like the idea of me joining Enterprise, maybe he will see this and clear this up 😝 .
Enterprise was sold so I guess I made the wrong decision to not follow up on joining Specialists but like I already said, I was never really interested in being part of any groups.
I then joined another small forum that was advertised on HF, I ended up quickly becoming staff and then administrator. PositiveEnergy was a member there so we got chatting a little. When he became the leader of Fortune, he invited me to join. I was active in the sub-forum, met some more cool guys and was looking forward to being part of some group projects. After a short while, I was kicked along with a lot of users, I was told the group was being revamped, I guess I wasn't on the list of users to be invited back haha.
So for now, I guess I'll be repping the blue username.
Staff
Firstly I would like to thank Omni and the rest of the staff for HF. I've never spoke to any of you on a personal level and I've exchanged very few PM's with any of you so I'd like to comment on the staff as a whole.
During my times of just browsing around and posting here and there, I was banned a few times for "selling outside the market place". I had never sold anything on HF before apart from a shitty ebook I got the resale rights too. The only place I sold this was in the ebook bazaar so I was really confused when I got a couple of 3 day bans for selling outside the market place. I'm not one who likes to cause trouble on HF so I just ignored it and continued as normal when I got unbanned. I can only assume the staff made a couple of mistakes and banned me wrongly or something lol I'm not complaining at all, just stating that these things happen and its no big deal.
However, I did have a moan to some skype buddies about it and thought the staff just banned users randomly, maybe because they just don't like their username or something lol.
Like I mentioned before, I became an admin on a small forum and it takes up the majority of each day just going through reported posts, PM's and behind the scenes stuff. So I understand now that they are working at 1000 miles per hour and things like this can happen and I understand how hard they all work. I honestly don't think the staff get enough appreciation so here's another thank you for all that you do! 🙂
For the past 5 or 6 months though, they've been more than helpful when I have any questions. Factor8 especially since my account got banned again, reason: "account under investigation". I quickly contacted F8 about it because at the time my gmail account had been compromised, my BTC gambling sites had been emptied (1.5 BTC) and my photoID's (passport and driving license) had been leaked, so I can only assume somebody had accessed my HF account. After securing everything and providing proof of this, he was able to unban me. This took about a week because I decided to go outside and get some fresh air and wasn't quick to respond to his emails lol. It's amazing how much free time I had because I was banned! 😝
Once again, thank you to all the staff for all those long hours you put in, I can't even begin to imagine how you spend your day going through reports, PM's, everything else and keep your sanity!
