Because Xbox products are all over the map and we have really shitty unclear rules about I'm going to try and define everything a lot better. Paradoxum has helped me break it down.

Xbox, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 (Consoles) = Not allowed unless modified or used
Xbox Games = Allowed if not warez
JTAG, RGH Mod (Jailbroken consoles) = Allowed
KV (Key Vaults) = Not allowed
XBL Gold (Live Codes) = Not allowed
XBL Points/MS Points/MS Currency/Xbox Currency (gift cards) = Not allowed

I have closed the "Xbox Live Membership Codes" forum.

Any comments before I make this final and change the Help Docs to reflect these changes?

Nice job clearing things up for the people on the marketplace for gaming I seen some threads in the marketplace lately and saw people selling xbl codes and I questioned myself if that was allowed and xbox products< in general.

What would a post have to justify whether a console is new or used? Someone could easily say "this was used once" and get around this. With all of the Social Engineered Xbox One consoles being thrown around I'm surprised any of them are being allowed to be sold.

Due to association with fraud and SE. We have rules against serials in the DBHA page.

Product Keys and Unlicensed Software
Product keys, key gens, serials and software cracks are not allowed. This includes the selling, trading, or requesting of any illegal unlicensed product keys. HF is not a warez forum and we will no longer tolerate our site being used as one.

That's the problem with the Xbox stuff. Lots of conflicts with existing rules. So I either have to allow the exception explicitely or I have to clearly define it as not allowed. Everyone including staff has been confused on how to deal with this. I'm making an attempt to clarify now.

Under the above set of rules I do believe they would be allowed. Xecuter has been around for over a decade and that's because legally speaking they aren't illegal. It's the game warez themselves which are illegal.

I'm going to allow the sale of modded Xbox systems. Stands to reason that allowing the sale of used consoles wouldn't be problem. Brand new SE'd systems I won't allow. And yes, I know members may lie about it but I'm unable to check the validity of any products sold on HF. Not all my decisions make 100% perfect logical sense. I do however need to make the decision and then define it well enough for members to understand the rule, not the exact reasoning behind it.

I love this forum but we will get to the point where we cant buy or sell anything i was looking forward to opening a shop with XBL codes and buying them now its removed, HF Is abit to tight in my opinion and i still dont know the reason for the removal omni.

Sucks about the Xbox Live Membership (Gold) codes. I've been buying my codes here for the past 5 years and it was one of the reasons that I joined (it's so cheap to get here). I can understand the reasoning though but ehhhh
