Downtime and Serving Problems

I was offline for a time because it's actually a holiday which I spent with friends and family and indeed we were under a DDOS attack. Apparently the attacker has no friends or family and has nothing better to do.

1. Cloudflare is still working on a permanent fix to their CNAME bypass. They stated to me they are close.
2. Sucuri which is our secondary DDOS protection firewall service is buggy. It blocks too much legitimate traffic and has actually gone offline once.
3. I'm building a new server setup on new hardware. Which will go a long way to giving me additional options for DDOS protection.
4. Going to add the country blocks again. The spam and attacks aren't worth the bullshit. I gave it a shot.

I know we're having multiple issues right now with stability in serving. I am actively working on it but it might be a couple weeks before we're 100% again.

Realistically we're always under some form of attack which normally I mitigate within seconds. It's when I'm offline that we tend to have long outages. I have lots of automated triggers setup but the new service (Sucuri) is becoming just as disappointing as Cloudflare. I just spoke with Incapsula and they will not suffice either. Sometimes I think I should just run my own hardware setup as I used to.

Please just bare with us while I do all I can to speed up and fixed this fiasco. Just have patience and know that I'm actively working on it.

I can't wait for us to get on the new setup.
