Resources to learn C

Dear members ,
I know judging by many cases i heard of that starting programming with languages such as c++ and c is quite difficult so in order to help newcommers to C i gathered some decent lerning material which will give you a basic understanding of the C programming language.
# The C programming language ; a book which needs a basic understanding of programming and is a good reference to the language for all levels (might be a little confusing).
# geeksforgeeks.org This C programming language is pretty good and covers a lot of matterial , it has questions and quizes, something needed,
# cprogramming.com is a good site with an enthusiastic community and full of code examples and tutorials !!!! fully recommended!!!
With this reviews i hope i helped everyone interested in this language.
PS i dont own the sites or books credits to the creators i just distribute and review them for educational purposes
"Decent learning material" and you suggest thenewboston? So you've been learning C for a day and you want to help others learn the language now? :S If you think thenewboston is anything worthy of being described as decent then you don't know enough about C to be attempting to help others learn it.

I swear to god I will scream the next time someone recommends those miserable video tutorials again.
No worries , edited found something better
i just wanted to help sorry if I failed to do so

For a complete beginner it isn't completely awful. Lets face it, most of them are too lazy to read books and online explanations and stuff... so the videos make it easier on them I guess

Considering you posted this not too long ago: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?ti...id46369412

You have absolutely no say into what is awful and what isn't for learning material. There's a difference between learning from good and bad material. If you're too lazy to read from books and documentation, then you shouldn't even try and might as well just give up learning the language because it's heavily required languages like these.

Yea dude I never said I was fucking god and said this was right and end of story. If you say thenewboston is not credible then you are an idiot. No its not the best, never said it was amazing best guide to be master of C. Obviously watching videos doesn't make you skilled. But looking at from a beginner stand point, his videos do a great job explain if you have little to NO prior knowledge to programming. + Its free that's another good thing.

I agree, although it seems you are taking shots at me, but I hope you don't believe that people who actually care to be advanced just follow tutorials and expect to be geniuses. Those are the kids you just ignore mate.
For good/bad knowledge? lmao... instead of commenting your opinion and calling the person a retard why don't just show them some better resources, whether they actually look into it and care about learning.. that's not on you.
If they're too lazy to read books, they shouldn't be programming. They'll fail and cry. I know dead10cc already said it, but I just felt the need.
I just wanted to help people who have no idea of C just learn the basics and to be honest i have read the book ; C programming language and it was too tough.
"open classroom" is a good website for learning basics.
When something is too tough to understand, you'll learn that you just need to read it again, and again until you can repeat to someone and be confident that you know exactly what the heck you're saying.

Credible in what way? What programs has he written that are noteworthy? Do you even know? gtfo, you're the idiot here... He's only credible because by popular belief, in the land of skids he provides the material to learn from.

"instead of commenting your opinion and calling the person a retard why don't just show them some better resources, whether they actually look into it and care about learning.. that's not on you." - Where am I implying that it needed to be my way? You're a moron. My opinion is actually fact, it's just your opinion and assumption that I'm stating my opinion on this. There's articles and posts about how bad his videos are all over the net if you bothered to look. Clearly you didn't.

Furthermore, why would I waste my time contributing to these absolutely useless threads? Do you even know how many of these exist? I've posted my suggestions about 100 times over by now I'm sure, are you saying that I need to continue to do that because stupid members can't bother to search the forum? Get real here. I've done the same that most other experienced programmers have done in this section with posting suggestions. The PROBLEM is that members have to have their own thread to get suggestions given to them, for whatever reason, it can't be someone else's thread that they happen to find, with a search that would take less than 2 seconds.

^^ If you can't handle these truths then you shouldn't be on the forum, just like anybody who isn't capable of reading, shouldn't be attempting to learn programming probably. You're never going to get 100% of the full deal watching f*cking videos. Lastly, there IS no video for the language standard.

^^^ Somebody needed to be brutally honest about all of this...

weirdo... Don't twist my words (below).. he contributes by getting people into programming, not teaching them the ins and outs, but showing them basics.

"My opinion is actually fact" You contradicted yourself there buddy lmao | Opinion: Self-report or attitudinal statement.

PS: Don't help people then complain about helping.. that makes no sense, just don't help then.

Thanks, I don't use thenewboston as my resource of learning so I don't see why you felt the need to throw daggers at me? My whole point was that "thenewboston" gets either worshiped or just completely trashed. Personally I believe it's one of the better resources available for people out there. The goal is for beginners to expand on their programming knowledge and start to understanding the "whats next / better" step on their studies. If you respond to this with more hate I feel bad for you... I never knocked your argument and you started "attacking" me first lol (But it's the internet who cares, keyboard warriors unite!)

I'm not twisting your words, there's nothing even close to "teaching" or "basics" for that matter when it comes down to innacurate and misleading tutorials. Why do you fail to comprehend what I've been trying to say this whole time? I can teach the basics far better than he does without allowing a beginner to digest false information... As with any other resource other than his videos out there really...

And yes your contribution is incorrect because you don't know anything hardly about the subject. Have you not seen some of the C++ "Lessons" posted by people who think they know C++ because they've been learning it for a day or two on this forum? If you really want to see eye to eye with what I'm saying, how about doing yourself a favor and going to find the evidence yourself? I've fairly certain I've been programming for years longer than you have, you're going to argue with me about whether my words are justified or not when you've been programming in the language for less than a month at most? Get serious here. Do you not see how silly that is for you to say?

I never contradicted myself. If I would've put "opinion" in quotes or italicized it, you would've seen that I was taking your word description of what my statement could be described as, and correcting you by re-naming it "fact" rather than opinion. That sentence was really to say that it is NOT "opinion" but rather "fact".

It gets worshiped because people who don't know the language think that his videos actually make sense and are good learning material. It gets bashed because people actually know what they are doing and can see that thenewboston guy does not.

Bro I dont like Bucky Roberts bitch ass, those people that start with c++ with no knowledge in the first place are just retarded anyways.. and yea I hardly view threads in this section... this OP caught my eye with all the resources he gave and not one was really "good" Like the C/C++ vids are trash, I cried. But like if tryna learn Java or php its decent..... guess I forgot I was in the " C/C++/Obj-C Programming" section jajajaja
gg cuz my anal waz rekt 🤝
