Highly Compress Files?

Is it possible to do so? How?

I've really slow internet connection, like 70kb/s download speed. I want to transfer files from my RDP to my PC. So, is it possible to highly compress files?

Will really appreciate your help. Thanks. :)
I don't know if this will work but maybe you should try to compress it into a rar, than compress the rar into a rar and so forth.
Compressing an already efficiently compressed file again will actually make it larger so ignore the above.

7zip can do some mad efficient compression on Windows.
I used winrar on default settings and got 75% compression on a folder I wanted to send to a friend, I'm sure you can get more out of it by tweaking how hardcore you want it to compress.

You can customize the compression on winter, try playing with the settings and you will find it.
7zip is awesome, would reccomend
7-zip is the best one to use.
