Hello,
I've been searching for a powerful laptop to multitask, and I believe I found it, so I purchased it for a STEAL.
It's a HP EliteBook 8570W, with the following specs:
- 300GB Intel SSD (120GB for booting)
- 24GB DDR3 RAM
- 2GB Nvidia Quadro K1000M Graphics Card
- 1080P HD Screen
The MOBO can handle 32GB RAM, so I may end up upgrading later, but I seriously doubt I'll need to any time soon. I also plan on adding an additional hard drive bay and sticking either a 1 or 2 TB drive in there, and booting from the SSD.
I'm planning on getting the HP Docking Station, and hooking up 3 monitors to it, and still use it for the go.
I paid under $450 for this laptop if anyone is wondering.
Best regards,
Webmasters
What kind of CPU does it have? I personally don't like HP.

Meh, I think it could use more touchpad buttons :P All joking aside, that boot partition is overkill. :P
Does it do what you wanted it to? Mission successful. But what was the catch given the low price?
Nothing was the catch, I talked the guy into ending the auction early. Intel i7 2.6ghz turbo to like 3.4?
That 300GB partition for the OS alone is wasted space.
If I were you, I'd partition 120GB for the OS and the rest for applications.
You will find that running applications on an SSD will be much faster than on a HDD.
Also, what CPU does it have?

Well the 300 also stores apps (it's partitioned) and read post above!
It is a great purchase considering specs. Hopefully it will not overheat as most of HP laptops do.

Yeah what I'm hoping as well, but seeing as its a workstation, I'd think it's made to handle better.

Mate, I've read your post x3 times and it doesn't say partitioned anywhere.
It only says, 300GB Intel SSD (for booting).

Well what I meant is it's 300gb SSD for the boot, but it's partitioned, I believe 120gb? I'm wanting to leave the SSD with the OS fairly empty though, to keep it fast, may get a 1 tb SSD as my second drive, keep it together.. ;)

Its all good, either way, I like the specs they are very good. You should buy it...

I'm more interested in the fact that it went. Haha. I'm still shocked and ecstatic!
