There's plent of info on this online if you look.
Yes thought many places are aware of MITM attacks you could probably pull it off somewhere like a small non-corporate coffee shop, but at a chain hotel, resturaunt, etc they most likely have security measures to keep it from happening.

There is an app called zAnti. I believe it can do this with its tethering feature with spoofing. I don't remember.

I too have been wondering about that. When my son's mother comes over to drop him off, she sometimes uses my wifi to go online for few minutes. But lately she been askinb me to turn on my mobile hotspot because she cant connect to my xfinity internet. Ever since that first time, my phone acts weird now. It shuts off by itself and turns back on. Gets really hot when not in use. And when she calls me, I hear my own voice because of time lag. But that time lag only happens when on a call sith her phone. Is there a way to do the same thing to her phone the next time she comes over and asks me to turn on my mobile hotspot? Because im pretty sure she put some kind of tracking software that records all that I do. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Mega Duos 5.8 GT-I9152. Any helpful tips is appreciated. Thank you
