What is Instagram?
If you don't know by now, I'm assuming you are a total idiot. For the rare few that have no idea what it is, I'll tell you. Instagram is a social media platform specifically made for posting pictures depicting your a: family b: food c: life in general. It is available online but only in the mobile application can you post the actual pictures. You are not limited to taking pictures in the moment, you can also upload your own from other times. Okay, that's IG for you. If that isn't descriptive enough I don't know what is.

How do people monetize Instagram?
Easy.

Shoutouts
Shoutouts are when you pay a person to mention your name in the
caption under-neath the photograph that they posted. Many larger
accounts can charge upwards of $600 dollars for a shoutout. Example:


Tags
Tagging is basically when someone uploads a photo, and makes it so
when someone taps your photo once, it shows that your account has
been tagged IN that photo. Example:


Username
People often will swap handles, which means they will sell a username
for money or trade each other for their handles. This is very profitable
especially since OG instagram accounts are worth tons of money. Example:


Promotions
Sometimes I get contacted with offers about promotional items.
This includes but is not limited to: hats / gloves / bracelets / shirts /
socks / pins / bags / food / basically anything. Usually I will give them
a price and they will counter-offer with something lower BUT it usually
works out. A good example of this would be something like this:


Physical Items
A lot of people actually start clothing brands all from instagram. Note
that you are not limited to clothing but can sell a variety of things from
clothes to food even. One of the biggest markets on instagram is the
kick game market. Thousands of sellers / buyers a day buy and sell
kicks. One of the best examples are re-sellers. Example:

I actually used to do that but it is not worth the time in my opinion. PLUS instagram is cracking down on getting rid of ppi/ppa/ppd stuff by banning accounts / suspending posts and shit so.
