[Omniscient]

I plan on doing some extra server work today. We might go down a few times for 10-30 minutes at a time. I know this isn't much notice but I have to do work like this when I can.

When it's completed I will post about the changes.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks for telling us Omni!

[Grammar Rays]

Nice one Omni. Looking forward to seeing what happens over the next couple of weeks.
Especially Black Reign. :)

[Turtle]

Sweet, thanks for letting us know in advance

[brian188246]

Excited to see what's to come :)

[Viral Dragon]

Did something go wrong with the additional hardware? Or has the load increased?

In about 5-10 minutes the site will be offline again.

[DaPiranha]

Cheers, didn't last to long site seems to be back to normal in terms of speed. Thanks :)

[Omniscient]

I'm doing an upgrade and beforehand I'm doing a full backup. Depending on how long this backup takes to gzip will determine the time remaining before I take us offline.

The next phase of my work will require HF to Deny all traffic. Site will be 100% offline.

If all goes well we will only be offline for 10-20 minutes. Any complications and that could extend to 1-2 hours as I may need to revert to the backup.

[Radical_ed]

Thanks for keeping the forms running smoothly, I know it isn't easy from personal experience

Or rather it's really easy until something goes wrong or needs to be upgraded, then it's quite a bit more complicated

[Cyam]

Let's hope there won't be any problems, good luck.

Thanks for keeping us updated, hopefully everything will be painless for you on the upgrade side.

Eyy, your backing up the site so whatever we do now won't save #Purge
