I'm going to need to run a nearly two hour query to optimize our database search function. I prefer to get it done right now because I'm not going to stay up till 3am doing it in the middle of the night.

I keep making adjustments and optimizations to our database and likely this is one of the final actions I'll need to take that will create this much downtime.

Basically the InnoDB default search stopwords is total crap. It's very minimal and for a forum our size it needs to be a lot more robust. The stopwords are words that the index ignores. Words like "hello" or "the" which not only are pointless to search but pointless to index. The index takes a LOT of resources in both CPU and RAM. So making sure it's optimal is very important. Default max word is also 84 characters which is very long. I'm lowering it to 64 which is still very long but should suit our needs. Long enough to also index crypto txn's too.

I want to get this done before we move to MyBB 1.8x. The more I can optimize the database the better the upgrade should go.

So expect a Site Closed message within the next 30 minutes and sorry for more downtime but this is just part of such a large structural change to the site.

Hey I just wanted to point out that when you search the words "secure skype", only like two pages of results show up and I don't know if that is just supposed to happen but it kind of threw me off a bit because I know there are way more threads about Skype then two pages worth
