Hey guys,

I had a few friends get locked out of their Mac, here's how to fix it.

1. Boot into the Recovery drive

Hold CMD + R

2. Choose Utilities

3. Open Terminal

resetpassword

4. Reboot the Mac as usual

would this still allow them to access all their old documents or it asks them for their previous passwords?

It will leave everything unchanged except the password.
