Started another local business.

Those of you know that know me well, know I already own and operate two small local businesses. As of today, I have added a third, one that I am particularly passionate about. 😁😁

I will be opening up a homebrew supply store in my town shortly, once I locate a storefront space. This is a big leap, as homebrewing is still a pretty niche market, but the fact that there is no local store within 100 miles of me, and the growing interest in craft beer and brewing, led me to this.

It will likely be the most difficult of my business ventures so far, as the others are service based, and this is my first foray into the retail world (🤦‍♂🤦‍♂ Retail profit margins are scary lol). If you know me, you ALSO know how passionate I am about craft beer and my brewing, this was just the next step. 😝😝

I'm super excited about this, my riskiest start-up yet!

Wish me luck 👍 I'll update as things progress and we get operational.
Congrats man - that's good to hear! Mind sharing what your other two businesses are?

Congratulations mate :)!
Really excited to hear things like this.

I would love to talk to you about business sometime.

Right now I'm saving $20,000 for college (I'm 17) moving out in a year to start my bachelors degree as I should have my first 2 years in a year.

That 20k will go to rent, and financial aid covers like food/gas.

So all my income will be for self benefit/saving or business.

I'm really interested in gathering some knowledge from someone who is experienced.
Thanks mate!
My friends dad makes his own home brew and its savage, good on you OP!

Of course. One is a small multi-purpose IT support company. Everything from basic clean-up, to network building/management. The other is a videography/photography company. We do pretty much any size project, but our real money comes from small local commercials and weddings. Both are companies that I started myself by being a one man operation, and then hiring people to replace me. 😁

Feel free to PM me any questions man, I'm glad to help. That sounds like an excellent plan too.

Who exactly are you talking to?
Congrats! Is it a small town?

Thanks! 😁 Medium sized. Our population is about 300k, but we're a very spread out city, so that 300k is over a pretty large area. This will be the only shop of it's kind within 100 miles.

You must get a good amount of customers then. I assume you have employees?

Well we're not open yet. I hope so though. 😝 We're still looking for a location right now. I plan to keep things simple, likely just 1 or 2 employees to run the shop. It doesn't take much. I have a couple people interested.
Risk it for the biscuit!
Good luck!
